As many people do, I thought I'd open the build of my first HB, Devin McGuffie. Compared to all the slow builds and super slow built players his build is admittedly not that special, but 'back in the day' he was one of the first demonstrating how useful Quick Cut was.

He became more a receiving HB from season 8, but he got back to rushing this past season. In his first (and last) season in the World League he averaged 7.6ypc which I think is pretty impressive, eventhough he was on a 4-12 team.

He ends his career with 18,977 all-purpose yards and 236 TDs.

It's interesting your players build. One of my HB's has almost the same skills, but many levels lower. Without the SA's. He will have much more skills but lower SA's, and I think I'll be happy with that. My highest HB isn't off that by much. An early season 1 HB will have things like this in his build. Agility was his down fall in the end, and he will be retiring at the end of this season.

Why your retiring your player when he hasn't even started declining I don't know. He still has a stellar season ahead of him.

Always liked this dot and I do remember reading your posts and learning how great quick cut is.

What slider does he run on? Like super elusive or what?

My WR spent many seasons as McGuffie's team-mate.

Great dot. Big time playmaker.

What running style did you keep him on?

I'm guessing he ran pretty high at 85+. I think it's closer to 99 just from the replays.

This is really interesting actually. It's kind of tricky for me at the moment to decide what to do with my running back with EQ. Because I'm thinking of keeping speed at 100 and then as time goes on, getting agility to 100. By level 64 I'll be there, but say by level 48 EQ I'll be at 100 speed and approx 90 agility. I won't be investing in SA's for just over 2 seasons, but I'm wondering just how effective say 10 in Quick Cut is going to be, with 90+ agility and 100 speed. Is that going to take it to the next level, or do I actually need that much agility if I have that much Quick Cut?

Maybe only one way to find out I guess.

I do think I've built him near perfectly so far, see what you guys think as I reckon he's going to be one of the best we've seen...

Aiming for 68 vision, 60 carrying, soft capped confidence and stamina and soon he will have training moved to jumping/catching to have that trained pretty much for the next few seasons, maybe forever....

Great work Viscount. I'll definitely consider his build while building my own elusive.

Viscount, did you ever experiment with moving his equipment around. As mentioned by magicalmrrich I've got a HB a ways away from his level but I'm already pondering putting all equipment into speed or keeping it split between speed and agility. Anyone out there have any opinions on this matter.

Assuming Speed and Agility are both right around 80 natural where should the 40 or so eq points go? 120/80, 110/90, 100/100? I can't imagine that it would be smart to let speed dip under 100 for an elusive back.
