this kind of ties into my post below on MLB AEQ. I have a lv 18 LOLB with 27 strength and 34 tackling who has 8 FF this season, and a MLB who has 2 pieces of FF AEQ (16%) with over 55 strength and 55 tackling with only 1 FF all year. These players are on the same team, so what gives? I also have another MLB on the same team with the exact same build (will start deviating down the road) who has 4 FF. He has 1 piece of AEQ (9% make tackle chance). Is the FF% AEQ that worthless?

What is their agility?

I'm betting the guy with 8 FF has the most.

Hmm, I'll be damned, I was wondering if someone was ever going to provide contrasting data to my masters thesis about FFs and agility.

What are their total tackle numbers like? Tackling style?

Stats can be voodoo.

speed can have a lot to do with it as well. imo it's something like this: your LB does a vision check and moves towards the LB. when he gets there, there's a roll for tackle quality, based on the momentum of the LB, strength, size, tackling, etc. then there's a roll for force fumble based on the tackle quality (versus carrying), then there's a roll for making the tackle (versus break tackle). just a guess though, no way to prove that.

Speed seems to have a lot to do with it at very early levels.
Also look at the quality of opponents your 8 FF backer had those fumbles against. Everything is off the board stats-wise (and Speed plays even greater in these type of games btw) against teams with that type of talent difference.
