Jumping is the 4th most important attribute IMO. Confidence is prrobably behind catching, strength and tackling in that order.

strength > catching, imo. but aside from that, pretty much what he said. jumping is way way way more important than confidence. i had sub 48 confidence on my lvl 63 until about lvl 55.

Speed and agi> vision>jumping>strength>tackling>stamina>confidence>catching

And some of the SAs (SDC>SV>SB>CD) are actually more important than all the attributes after strength

Catching is pretty much the last thing you should ever put SP into (though you should definitely train it for whatever marginal bonus to deflections it grants; interceptions have little to do with catching

imo

bort has said that catching factors into the PD roll, no idea how significantly.

if catching is to PD as blocking is to break block for d-line, then it's definitely pointless

Where did Bort said that?

All I've heard from him is that it helps pass coverage, because it helps catching the ball (= not allowing the WR to catch the ball =helps pass coverage)

i remember reading about something like that as well. there was actually a bort post saying that SH helped the PD roll... and so i guess from that you could gather that catching helps the PD roll as well. how much? he didnt say... but i got my SH to 10 just for the hell of it after reading that. i would go find the post, but it was probably mid last season and i really dont feel like digging through the forums.

Not really. This what he said:

wait, what.

so sticky hands helps you not have the CB PD the ball? by help, i mean increase your anti-PD roll

The CB has to fight you (WR) for the ball. Stick hands gives you a better catching roll. Therefore sticky hands helps you fight the CB for the ball. Make-a-sense now?

Bort, does catch ball chance aeq work for defensive players to help intercept the ball? just like intercept ball chance aeq...

Yeah, it helps intercept rolls. I will not help you beat the WR, however.

What do you mean by beat Bort? Like, if the WR wins the roll, your CB can't have a roll over it and catch the ball instead?

No, it won't help you in your PD vs Catch roll. It will help you catch the ball if you are in a position to do so, however.

Bort said it helps the WR in their catch roll, and you cannot really interpret that into it helps you with your PD roll. IMO those catching / SH stuff factors into the interception rolls, and not the PD rolls.

weird... im, pretty sure i remember a post where he directly said that it affected the PD roll. i wouldnt have taken SH to 10 for a better catching roll. when did he post that last bit?

I guess what I would say is speed=agility>vision>jumping>strength>stamina=confidence=catching>tackling

And I agree that for a CB SAs are more important than secondary attributes.
