I'm not sure why, but I would figure that this LB would be a stat machine after looking at his build. Then again, maybe I just suck at building them .

Ht-5'11"
Wt-224 lbs

Physical:
Strength 53.93(+4)
Speed 71.01(+8)
Agility 55.93
Jumping 16.01
Stamina 27.93
Vision 44.93
Confidence 18.93

Football:
Blocking 16.01
Tackling 53.93(+3)
Throwing 10
Catching 16.01
Kicking, punting, carrying-9

Nothing in the skill tree, has two VAs on power tackler and one on sure tackler, one peice of AEQ with +3 tackling and make tackle chance plus 5%.

Advice as to what I may be doing wrong?

He's slow and has low vision. I'm not sure what you're expecting. You won't cause a whole lot of fumbles with a mediocre build like that, speed is too low to get to a lot of tackles, jumping is too low for diving tackles or PDs.

Alright, thanks for that. So is he bad enough to retire or do you think I could possibly salvage his build?

He's L-26 and not horrible if plays ROLB...but he looks more like a MLB build gone awry. He's salvageable, but likely going to take a season to get back on the right track and re-work his eq to all speed.

You'll want to get speed, vision, and agility up in a hurry. Strength & Tackling you could ignore for probably 2 seasons. Jumping & Confidence need to be trained up ASAP if you ever want to play LOLB (which covers the TE more often in most defenses).

The thing about "bad" builds is that they're often better at lower levels than "good" builds. I'd keep him up until he's out of the minors if that's what you want to do. He'll never be a great fumble forcing LB though. Just focus on making him productive overall. Cap vision, second cap agility, third cap speed, train jumping/stamina. He can be productive up through the uncapped leagues.
