Is a make tackle % worth anything. It sounds like a piece of crap to me, am I wrong? What about avoid fake chance also for a LB, worthless right?

The make tackle piece is great. Especially if you get two of them.

Make tackle % + David vs. Goliath VA = money

Here's my LB. I just capped strength at beginning of this season.

I added David V Goliath VA first, then sure tackler

He has only missed 7 tackles season 9 - now and no more than 2 in any season after season 8 (376 tackles in that time frame)

Getting a good amount of "make tackle %" and pairing it up maxing out the "sure tackler" VA frees you up to go all out on power tackling.

I don't know that I think it's necessary to leave strength at a low (first cap) number to justify DvG. Average power backs will have over 100 strength, good combo backs over 70.

I'm thinking about second capping tackling and leaving it there until the late 50s. I'll second cap strength somewhere in the 40s and third cap around 50 probably. Then roll with 5-10 in DvG and one make tackle % eq (also, one monster hit or SV, and one shutdown coverage piece). The monster hit piece is a bit of a luxury but it's hard to get rid of it (+2 tackling, monster hit).

Can't agree more with that - I used DvG exclusively for powerbacks. I got rid of it through VA resets and I'm paying for it now. Even with 70 STR, I'd go back to it if I could.
