personally i would at the very least get your tackling to the 2:1......
and then not being a force in sacks spend some training on jumping a bit to get some LOS knock downs....
kinda depends on the direction your team is going as far as the need for your DE...

Hmmm, I Was going to take speed to 80 before that.... He really doesn't mis many tackles, and when he does, it is after he breaks 2-3 blocks, and the lb'er makes the tackle for a 1yrd loss. I wasn't really using him for a tackler, or a fumble forcer.. More of a block breaking guy who can explode the LOS, and just get a hit on the rb...

i just say the tackling since it is a major in DE's as far as i know, unless things have changed lol..
plus it is right there 48.07...you will get the bonus points for getting him to that 2:1...then worry about the rest...
as far as the LOS exploding player...i have seen some good things from my DT with the VA "pocket crusher" which you have the wieght limit at 245lbs....not sure if it has the same effect for DE's but it might be worth looking into....
Edit....new VA on that PC...forgot it is on passing only...but worth looking into.

Yeah, I think pocket crusher can be a serviceable va as a 4th-5th option. I agree.

well i know you are no stranger to the game David....your profile speaks for itself. kinda suprised to see you in this forum TBH....
the thing is, for you and almost every person in here is....the build your going for just has to do with how your guy is used on the team.....it depends on if you want great stats or are looking to win championships.

well i honestly can say i don't think your DE will single handedly stop a Power back time in and time out or even get in the backfield in a fanshion of what you desire...it just isn't in the concept of GLB...getting the hit and having the LB play cleanup like what is happening from what you say is working good.....

......if this is the case your DE is working fine and like mentioned taking the tacking to the first softcap is my opinion....tackling will also help him make that tackle so the LB's and secondary don't have to play the cleanup role making the flexability of the defense greater....
