He had a very good season, now I need to work on him to make sure he has another good year. Any advice on what to work on during the off-season and next season?

Get strength and agility to the 4th cap (68 I think).

67.98 is third cap
74.25 is fourth cap.

I like this route more than anything as I think MLB's are more of a jack of all trades defensive player. They need strength and tackling to take down a powerful runner. They need speed and agility/vision to chase down a speedy HB or QB. They need vision and catching to turn a PD into a interception when they drop back into pass coverage. Focusing on 1-2 skills makes you that much better at that role, but then you sacrifice your role in other areas. The team I am on uses me heavily in pass coverage as I had a lot of PD's this season, so going Strength/Tackling might not be the best for me.

My initial thought would be to 4th cap(maybe 5th?) speed, then work on bringing the rest of the skills to 2nd cap. From there, will probably pick 1-2 skills to bring higher.

However,I am new to having a LB this high, so asking those with experience as to what really works.

I'd get all to third cap and then fourth cap agility, 2 pc eq into speed, 1 agility, 1 strength/tackling/vision or split. Something like that. 5 attributes to 68 will take over 50 levels I think. After that you'll want to consider soft capping jumping, confidence, and stamina, and then maybe getting some points in diving tackle or monster hit.

what I am doing with my MLB (first time I made one) is taking strength, tackling, and agility to the +3, in that order. then got speed to the +2. now getting strength to the +4 while training vision/confidence. like Gerr said, jack of all trades.

seems like you might be heading more toward an OLB build.
