At first glance it looks like they did a hell of a job recruiting. At second glance you notice that one guy has 13 or so new LVL 13-17s. At third glance you notice that the "Jakarta Vikings", previous SEA A League Champions and SEA AA busts, have gutted their entire team and moved most of it onto the Albuquerque Devils.

Karma is a bitch. I hope the legit contenders of this conference 1. Rapid City, 2. Lima Lemurs, 3. Caprica Bucs, 4. Midwest Mayhem, bust you in the mouth. Maybe your cheating asses will give up again and move to the Africa League.

well looking at it briefly, doesn't look like they moved all their guys, just a handful. nothing wrong with that i guess. i'm sure there's circumstances where teams have been gutted and all the players move somewhere else, maybe a majority to another team. i know, i was on one that it happened to this offseason. seems shady, but who's gonna turn down a bunch of higher level players that wanna jump on your squad?

I would hardly call 26+ players a handful. And I'm not even done counting yet. They may not have brought every single player and every single back-up from their gutted team, but they brought almost 30, if not more than 30, the majority of which are starters.

What dickheads.

I guess that's why it bothers me so much...putting in the time only to be trumped by something like this.

Nothing I can do about it, so I'm going to mark it up to douchebaggery, and be done with it. Anything can happen in this game, high levels don't guarantee victories.

With the massive changes they made in the offseason, their chemistry is now sitting at 43 overall, 69 offensive, and 78 defensive.

Even if you look at Rapid City (not picking on you at all, just I'm guessing you've made some roster changes) they are significantly higher in the chemistry side of things.

Teams who haven't made any changes in the offseason are seeing 100's across the board, leaving me to believe that Albuquerque will just be one of those meh teams for a while.

As one of the people who has pretty damn seriously worked her butt off this season with the recruiting, yeah, not real happy here.
I hope karma is a bitch and all, but man, I feel sorry for the guys in the west who had the job of trying to build a contender from a BBB team, and were looking to this season as a chance to really step up. I thought we were going to have a dogfight all season between Caprica, Lima, Rushmores, etc. for those top spots, all of whom legitimately deserve it. Outside chemistry, I'm not sure now.

To the legitimate top teams in the West, good luck guys! Kick their asses.

For everyone's information, the owner of Jakarta was a GM for Albuquerque last season, helping out here as he ran the other team. As I'm sure all of you know, serious dedication to this program takes large amounts of time and effort. Believe it or not, this is JUST A GAME. Real-life situations occurred that I would NEVER wish on anyone, and the owner of Jakarta was unable to keep up with either team, let alone BOTH. He told us this a number of days ago, and offerred to sign us on this other team he was a part of, rather than shipping us all away and letting us fend for ourselves. I understand the frustration, I understand the bitterness, and I don't think it's uncalled for, but before you start talking shit about an individual who did what he did because his newborn son has been hospitalized for an extended period of time, take a step back and think about what his real priorities are. I love this game, the strategy, the scouting, building players, etc., I've spent days and weeks assembling other teams, trying to fill those final holes, competing with a seemingly endless amount of other owners/GMs to sing free agents, and I understand the justified reaction, but its still just a GAME, and real life scenarios tend to take precedence over it. As I've been reading on threads about karma and what not, that's fine, if this is going to be as lopsided as you guys think it is, then we'll be gone after this next season and everything will be "back to normal" as far as this game is concerned. I don't see it as cut and dry as that, but I guess we will see what's to come.

Again, this is not an attack on any individual, team, or whoever might wanna start some personal beef with me, I'm simply trying to defend the actions of someone who currently does not have the time to read these forums and defend himself.

it seems to me that every gutted team has a "real life issue" like a car accident or a child hospitalized. This is the 7th team i have seen come forward with an excuse of some sort. I for one dont believe a word they say. I hope the devils burn in a car wreck.

Does the owner really need to make an excuse for you? I talk to the owner almost every day, and I gotta tell you... F' You. Who the F do you think you are to say something like that when his newborn son has been in the hospital.

First of all, why would someone make that up? Secondly, why would we care what you think?

I just think that was a callous thing to say to someone whose son has been in the hospital.
