I plan on keeping my Bears team for one more season and will repopulate it with all my own players again. Those players will be created starting on day 40.

Question is what is the soonest I can dump my current players from my team because I won't have enough flex points to totally create my new players until I retire most of my existing players.

Do the Pee-Wee teams automatically get wiped at the day 40->41 change over, meaning I can retire all of them on day 41?

Can I release players before that once my last game is done? Is there a min number I need to keep on the team until the system wipe?

All players are released on day 41 I think but if all your players have end on day 40 contracts they wil fall off the roster at roll over to day 41

I don't think you can cut on day 40 and I know you can't sign on day 41

now if you know you are not going to go far in the plyoffs you can give your players 10 day contracts and when the roster is clear, sign players that way

Players with day 40 contracts will be FA's on day 41. The rest will be released during the 41 to 42 roll over. You can't cut or trade any players past the trade deadline as far as I know.

So to make sure all my players are released early on day 41, I should set them to a day 40 contract when I redo their contracts?

Yes.

There is no reason not to do a day 40 contract

Except if you are lazy and don't want to make that extra change when signing 40+ players the same day.
