I swear Bort changed something during the off-season. My kicker has only completed ONE 50+ yd kick. All his kicks were from fair yardage of 50-56yds. No crazy 60yd+ attempts. In one game alone, he went 0/3 from 50+ yds out, missing from 53.5, 55, and 53yds, respectively:

He has also missed two 30/39's, which in his entire career was nearly unheard of. The last time he's missed two 30/39's was back in his rookie season 3!

Another issue I have is his PAT's. 100/106? That's means he has a 5.7% chance to miss a PAT. That's too high imho.

So what gives? Did Bort change something? I was under the impression I had a good kicker, but I guess not.

XP have a built in miss factor. Generally, any missed XPs are shitty luck.

As for the other stuff, I'd chalk it up to a bad season. My kickers are all doing quite well; more than I could expect this season anyway.

In the world of probabilities and statistics, sometimes the pendulum swings one way, sometimes the other. It may seem like things have changed or that the sim is out to get you, but it's just a stretch of the die giving you bad rolls. It happens, you just have to live with it.

Why because suddenly his build needs automatic? My kickers are doing just fine without it, so I'm going to say that's probably not the issue.

I don't know.It's just my K do have 10+ Automatic,and he is a damn good K.

One thing I've learned in this game is that you simply cannot take a singular experience and apply it across the entire game. It just isn't that simple.

Right. One of my kickers (LVL 52) with only 4 in automatic missed only 1 fg this year (16of17, 4of5 from 50+)

build looks great. its just bad luck i guess

Folks with 20+ AUTOMATIC still clock in at 97% with Extra Points. It works minimally for FG's, too.

therefore automatic is terrible. I've never had automatic in my career and I hit 97.5% overall in Extra points.

I have Calm Nerves and Big Boot for my Kicker [Level 18]. I won't ever add a point to Automatic that isn't from Custom.

More conf+str IMO
