The newly formed Hanoi Wizards of the SE Asia AA #4 league bring a unique opportunity for GLB players: at-will employment. All players need only give 2-game notice to secure their release. It's all part of a team model that puts the happiness and respect of players at the center of the trophy room.
"The success of an organization is dependent on its people, so we aim to treat our people fairly and with respect," said new team owner methomps.
Other aspects of its player-friendly approach is Hanoi's schedule for pay raises. Players receive set raises after 10 days of service, and then every other level.
"I think many players see our initial offer and think its just too low," methomps explained, "We hope that they'll look back at our policies and do the math to realize that they will be making much more than the initial offer in just a few weeks."
Hanoi is also aware that regular pay raises get expensive. To set the base for a strong financial future, the Wizards have already begun construction on two corner sections to the stadium that will give more fans a chance to see the games.
