I have one of the better teams in the Copper leagues and I want to test it against the cream of the crop, ie a Pee-Wee team from the Gold league. Just look at my team and you will see it's no junk team, but I doubt up to the specs of a gold league team. So while I know I will be an underdog, I think I can compete with the big boys and keep it respectable. Send a scrimmage request if interested.

My team:

sorry no contest ...gold teams would rape your team ...you should have entered in the tourneys, then at least you would have gotten a taste of humble pie ...your team wouldn't even stand up against half of all the silver teams either imo

I'm one of the weaker Gold teams, why don't you play me?

Your team has 40 players, half of which were made this season, none or few of which have CEQ. ManOgwaR is right you should have entered the tourneys. I will be surprised if you can keep it within 30 points. Stranger things have happened though.

Why is everyone always so hi and mighty over scrimmaging lower teams that want to test themselves. Granted Gold teams have nothing to gain from beating a copper team so I'm glad guys like LE and TT will give them a shot. I would if I had time to game plan for extra games... which I don't.

I'm not going to plan for this game, so the only time it takes me is to follow his link and pick a day to scrimmage. If he wins, he deserves respect. If he loses a close one, he's better than expected. If he gets blown out, he'll learn from his mistakes.

Should be easy scouting then. What 10 minutes max?

What I learn from my defeats against gold teams, close or not, will help me build a better team for next season.

Plus maybe I am deluding myself that my team can even compete against a gold team, but what ever the outcome, I learn valuable info.

that is why I was so blunt about it ...I never even bothered looking at the formations and day created players, scouting, etc, coz it wouldn't matter just on that basis alone.

why do copper teams want to bite off more than they can chew?!? why would gold teams want to waste their flexies?!? ...why would some ignoramus post here, when LE has offered to have scrimmages with anyone on the peewee main forum?!?

I asked politely if anyone was interested in playing a scrimmage against my team. I was up front saying that I was in a Copper league and if no one responded, so be it, would have moved on to the better Silver leagues. Don't forget that every new Pee-Wee owner starts in the Copper league, no matter how good or bad they are. I have already learned a lot from this short season, including that a 40-man roster isn't enough. I am hoping to learn a lot more from the few teams here in Gold that were generous enough to grant me a scrimmage.

The bottom line is if you want to be the best, you play the best, and learn what makes them the best from your encounters.

A 40 man roster can compete for 3 quarters, seesm the game was designed for the deeper team to pull it out in the 4th Quarter though. I have seen lots of good teams struggle for a few quarters in the past 3 seasons and then pull it out in the end.

Good luck Gerr, you have the right Idea and you can learn a lot just by focusing on how the gold teams play when you play them because you kow what you tried to run in your own game planning. We'll throw the book at ya! No mercy
