This is what I would want, optimally...

1 Pancake blocking build FB (inside runs, to work on demoralizing the defense)
1 Offensive build FB (to run or catch the ball)
1 maneuverability blocking build FB (outside runs, to not get burned by the elusive backs and/or rushing QB)

Although, a balanced FB is by far the most useful build, if we're talking about only having a single FB. People will tell you blocking build, but an offensive threat from the FB position is worth it's weight in gold to a halfway decent OC. Just the mere threat of a FB who can run or catch will open up an offense.

a FB has to be these 3 Priorities IN Order...

1: Good Blocker
2: Good Receiver out of the Backfield
3: Carry the ball up the middle

But if your FB is a West Coast Offensive System,or the Starting TE is primarily the blocking type, you can flip flop #1 & #2
