i have 21 base speed. should i train it higher or just use stats now since im going to start leveling. i have 33 available atm.

If you're looking to be productive now then spend your points. If not, I'd train it to 30 first.

Vision to the first cap, and then catching to the third cap before spending a dime on speed.

why? i heard my catching is fine as it is for my lvl... and speed is what gets me down the field

but what im asking is should i spend the pts now before i start lvling and lose out on stats or wait till its at 30

or cap vision now that its at 29 and then cap speed later on in the new season?

k so i capped vision. got 14 stats left over. save those till i have speed at 29-30?

A TE gets the highest auto-gains in catching, vision, strength, and blocking. If you don't build up catching and vision during the early levels, you won't maximize your long-term build. You'll eventually realize (later in your build) that you need more catching and vision, but instead of getting it through natural level-up gains (which are essentially free), you'll pay SPs for it.

I have seen several stud TE's in Pro with 40ish vision put up 1,000 yard seasons. So not sure why you need that much vision.

If you don't get speed up early, it never gets high. I learned that from my 1st TE (who has been relegated to casual leagues).

My 2nd TE was #1 TE in his conference with 30 vision. Top 10 in yards and TD's, the only TE on the list.

I think that vision was a huge mistake. Without speed, you won't get seperation and won't the ball won't be thrown your way.

Sounds like your TE's only hope is catching in traffic as a possession TE??? Which really isn't gonna scare anybody.

Catching to 61 brefore anything else

You dont need high speed as a TE imo. You need high catching and agility. Vision is nice too but your first ones should be catching vision and str. (At least 2 of your primary level up attributes) Then agility. Speed is nice and all but you dont need it HIGH..you just need it decent later on.

I agree with the 61 catching before ANYTHING else though.

With 50 catching I had 67 catches and 10 drops. #1 TE by a landslide.

Most of those drops were LB's knocking it away after catching. Nerves of Steel comes to mind to help, but the 40 Strengh requirment is too steep for me.

But really I don't want to give away my secrets. Keep getting Vision and Catching.

At level 17-23 or so i was #1 TE by a landslide as well.

I had 68 catching at the end of the season.

73 receptions..1 drop. Thats right..1..at the late teens early 20s levels.

I also ended the season with 65 str or so.

Take what you wish of that info.

How long ago was this 1 drop season? Probably before the LB's began knocking away balls regularly.

Sad to say I don't even have my Lv 32 EQ yet or my new AEQ rearranged.

But really, keep capping STR, VIS, CAT. You might get a 15 yd catch, but no TD.

safe to boost now or when?
