I removed heavy weight from all of my DTs last year and all of my DTs sacks went down. I had one guy go from 12 to 2, another went from 6 sacks to 0 and another went from 3 to 0. Any correlation?

well...you probably didn't need to do this little experiment for it is well known that heavyweight is probably the most important VA for a pass rush DT. Some other factors may have been involved: higher league, tougher competition, tactic and defensive changes. All in all though, I would get heavyweight back, especially if you are looking to get more presssure up the middle.
