I plan on running a 3-4 Defense down the road and was wondering if there are any big differences that I should plan for between a Right Inside Linebacker and Left Inside Linebacker.

My thoughts are that the LILB might be used for man coverage on TEs more than a LILB would, but then again teams usually run more to his side as well.

Any help would be appreciated.

it all depends on how you use our LBs in coverage. if you use SS for TE, LOLB and ROLB for HB and FB. then you can make your inside guys destructive run stuffers. after all these two are going to have to be able to contain anything ran at them between the OTs. i dont think using them like this i would make them any different.
