the QB dropped his towel on his drop back, and for the safety and concern of all players on the field, your backer decided to run over and pick up the towel before an injury happened.

If you have good vision or your pass rush setting is not set to most aggressive your LB can stop blitzing and drop back into the throwing lane if he sees a 3-step or screen.

Either way, that's still crazy.

I think he was spying on the hb once the hb went out on a route he broke his blitz and followed. Once the throw was made he broke to the ball. Jmo.

I agree, if you go frame by frame that's exactly what it looks like

he ran into the backfield and cut a fart to break the qb's concentration. the force of the fart was so great it blew him back into pass coverage. what lingered as he was blown back into coverage stunned the receiver enough he dropped the ball. one of the most awesome displays of ingenuity in the history of glb. he deserves a medal and a lifetime supply of charmin
