It seems to me that this is nothing more than a money grab by Bort with little to no positive impact in the game. It's just a way to get people to boost more players and require more flex to run a successful team.

Am I wrong?

Anyone else want to boycott having coaches in USA Pro?

I like the idea on a small scale, although the intricacies of what I would do with it would involve it being a lot more money grabbing than what Bort is proposing, so I wouldn't say this is much of a money grab compared to what he COULD have designed.

Some of the details sound interesting, some not so much and I can already see a lot of problems built-into it, but it overall sounds like a more interesting idea than his last 10 ideas at least.

I think "boosting" on coaches is garbagy, though tbqh, as long as its 300 flex or less a season I can deal.

Bort is doing it so people don't quit once their pride and joy players retire, and also to encourage people not retiring players early, both of which are prolly good for the game.

Bort is doing it because a lot of people wanted it to keep there players around they really like. It isn't like it is a pure money sink as you still get flex back when you retire from player to coach.

Wouldn't it cost the customer more to retire the player, then create a new player, boosting it for several seasons? I suspect owning a coach is going to be cheaper than a player.

I like the idea but I did suggest to Bort that there only be 4 coaches, not 10 - 10 is a bit too much imo

I like having my player, I definitely won't be participating in this coach mode, I'd rather retire him and just not play. The coaching mode offers something new, but not enough. I'll just experience the coaching mode through others.

Coach is a bad idea overall, the ones that become coach first will have advantage over season 13 coachs, so the teams on the top will most likely stay on top which is a bad idea and go against the suggestion given by players for seasons, like making the game more competitive for everyone.

I agree on this. I know I'd have no problem finding 10 dedicated coaches but it's completely unnecessary I think.

First, this coaching thing will just unbalance the game even more, and create even more of a workload..which is already extreme. I understand that agents do not want to just lose their players, but the current layout is ridiculous. One of my coaches being able to give a player a -20% attribute chance is insane..like hazy said, 3-4 coaches would be more ideal..and imo the coaches need to be balanced enough so that this does not create more problems, like everything added in the past has, mainly VA's. With the current plan intact this will further stunt the sim.

Seriously we have just over a 50 man roster. If we need 10 coaches, then I guess in Bort's opinion that 20% of former players go on to be coaches? Oh ok.

I hate the idea. Think it is going to lead to exploits galore and it is a lame move by Bort. I'd be all in favor of boycotting coaches.

At the very least I agree with Hazy that it should be knocked down to 4 coaches per team max. 10 is just absurd.

Yeah, I realize there are a lot of retarded players in this game, though. Somehow the ones with the halfbrained ideas always seem to get put in.

I'm surprised there is a faction that is actually on board with this. I was definitely on the fence about buying more flex points, but that pretty much confirmed I'll just be recycling flex and not buying any more with this.

i'm not gonna speak for the lesbians...

even if it is a bad idea for the game as a whole, if that's what we gotta do for our team to win, best believe we're doing it

Why doesn't he do something progressive..like..finally fixing all the nagging little problems with the sim? Or better yet, how about going through each piece of the game created so far and cleaning it up (i.e. - xfactor/weight bug - this was around since season 4-5). Perfect the game, THEN add the guy who can build my +10 Flameshoes of Tackling...(this idea is quite possibly teh ghey-est of them all - this is a football sim, not WoW).
