I find it cute how certain World League peeps find ranked scrims and tourney games to be lolscrims

Of course, it was all the rage when there wasn't a WL. Now all of a sudden, those same games you played last year are lolscrims.

inb4 excuses from WL teams who, for once, actually know what its been like for USAPL teams the past, oh, 3-4 seasons.

Even the Hounds could put together more accurate rankings.

edit: "Surprise team in USAPL" ??? Don't think anyone who actually follows USAPL is surprised by us so far at all. The real shocker is that we've actually managed to beat the teams we should.

Still, I love that this is what they really think. I can't wait before they start freaking out that lower-tired USAPL teams are consistently beating some of those WL teams in their top 25.

The problem is those games won't be happening very often. The only things that can happen right now are the top tiered teams that everyone knows about winning big games in tourneys.

True, but even a top-tiered team like yours is going to be hurt more by a loss to a WL team and helped less by a win just because you aren't in the WL this season.

There are teams on the list that are struggling in the WL that have soared up the rankings just because they are in the WL. Whereas teams "proving" themselves in USAPL are mostly dropping down the list.

Let's see how Week 2 shakes out. MM has Bonn on Monday and their voting for that poll is due Sunday night therefore MM's going to vault into top 10 w/ win against Cincy.

If we lose to OTRRD Sunday morning then we'll probably stay where we are (14) despite beating Drygerian... if we beat OTRRD then we should crack top 10 behind MM.

People are crazy if they think someone here would rather win Hazy's than USAPL. I think all of us want a USAPL Gold (something only one of the WL teams have) and a trip to WL to kick the shit out of some teams there. I don't think anyone tailors an entire gameplan to any team league or scrim. It's usually checking for basic things like "do they throw a ton of screens", "do they rush their qb a lot" and that's kinda it. There really isn't a ton you can do unless the team has AI mistakes you can take advantage of (doesn't happen really at this level). No excuses, play like a champion.

i dont think there is a "id rather do that than do this" attitude...i think everyone just wants to win everything...at least thats the thinking that i come into gameplanning with...people who say "id rather win USAPL than Hazy's anyways" after they lose in the Hazy's are just sore losers.

I know what you're saying. I mean, i'd like to win every game i play. Who likes losing? I just meant that before the season started, winning USAPL was probably the best thing that could happen to a usapl team, especially when it means auto entry into WL. I agree though, that people who lose in Hazy or lose in 1st round of playoffs saying that they only care about the other tourney/league is being a sore loser
