Lets say there is a HB with around the following:

128 spd (90 natural)
80 agility
48 stamina
48 vision
60 carrying

With the idea of him being a super fast HB who can also fake some peeps out. Would it be worth it to take away a few speed or agility to get vision 2nd softcapped in the interests of faking? Is 128 spd 80 agi good or would you suggest a more even split? Is 70 agility enough with 80 agility being unnecessary to fake people (including 10 in headfake/juke, 15 quick feet, and a fake chance AE)?

I think the split is ok but yes I believe it would be worthwhile to take say 3 out of that speed, that 15 SP into SAs can get say headfake from 4(5) to 8(9) and if you don't believe that's worthwhile, you haven't looked at good fake backs. That's why I think it's ok to get a HB's speed to 74 asap but then leave it.

If you have or now a player with 10 agility worth of equip into agility, and can take it and put it into speed. And be 138 speed that is what yo do

I don't know any HBs with 90 natural speed. Sounds like a waste of vital SP really, imo.

According to my rough workup, the best possible puts him around 123 speed (not including lucky AEQ bonuses) with 76 or so agility, 61+ vis/car, 4/8/2/4/2 in SAs with mediocre sta/cnf around the mid 60s. You can do some pretty good faking with agility <75.

Meh, if you 7-cap speed at the start you can hit it around LVL 23/24, then with auto leveling and +1 from training to 95%+ before softcappiing, your looking at ~90 spd around LVL56/57 without giving up all that much.

If you 7 cap spd then 5-cap agi, that is what you can get. I am just curious is 3 or 4 capping agi it would be enough as that'd give 10 levels (50 sp) to work on other things.

And McFadden, if one is gonna make a 128 spd player there are obviously trade offs, one of those being that confidence shouldn't be touched and stamina to 60 is a fantasy. Also, regardless, its retarded for an elusive back to waste 4 SP's for +2 spin imo.

well I suppose that's true, that would put FS at 4, which is probably enough.

He's not really all that different from my RB Cedric Cobbs.

Perhaps it is, though perhaps not. The majority of the way there would be auto-leveling, though it can be said that the SP it takes to go from the 5th cap to the 7th cap isn't worth it. The idea with the build is to get enough speed that the advantage on defenders his big enough to greatly enhance production.

So how much agi is needed to be a super fake back? How much vision?

i wouldn't spend sp past 77...from every projection thing i've done on a HB it's a big waste.

I'm doing something similar, but instead of taking agility to 80, I stopped at 69, and I'm working to make him break tackles instead of fake dudes. The 10 levels it takes to get agility up, it'd be easier to get strength/carry to 68 imo.

Base speed @ 85 and up is awesome, for the right type of build.

I would modify your original plan to have more vision.

sorry you're right, i meant at the beginning of the build. i kinda just assume that everyone already takes speed up right away

Something to consider Hulk. Sample size of course, but even with softcapped carrying I've found that 80+ strength break a lot more tackles than 70 strength. imo fwiw bbq.
