Offensive lineman are as fast as FBs in GLB, natural speed that is. The majority of positions are considerably faster than FBs, generally going to the 73 cap and letting leveling increases take it over 80 naturally. This is why we're seeing a rise of blocking FBs who take speed as high as possible, 80 speed in GLB is considered kind of slow TBPH... because it's all relative.
But this "solution" is no solution at all--it just sucks yet another position into the "I'ma-going-to-crank-speed-to-130" nonsense. At least the current setup, flawed thought it may be, forces FBs to make a HARD decision--they give something up if they decide to make a UNREALISTIC fullback because they miss out on levelling gains. If we add "speed" as a minor, we've just made it easier to endure that decision because then speed begins to accrue (small) levelup gains.
In my opinion, the game needs a SMALLER emphasis on "speed".
