I'm honestly at a loss for words. We were pretty decent last season, and didn't have any huge losses. Still have the same gameplanning. Yet now we are getting absolutely crushed week in and week out. I honestly have no idea where the wheels came off. Without knowing what's wrong, it's impossible to fix.

Do we have crap builds? Underlevelled? Poor game plans?

Our defense is a sieve and our offense can't move the ball at all. The only positive I see is we have the league leading punter.

So what's the deal? Why are we so uncompetitive? Obviously you don't want to tip off your opposition, and never reveal a man's tell, but maybe someone is willing to help?

No idea, but losing Bush did hurt a lot. I know he was inactive but he was the #1 DT in this league at the time and he automatically made your D much better than it would have been without him, aka now.

I'd take a look with bort's new "scout team" option (check the link next to your name on the team profile page) and look for any tendencies you may have

We ran a much different defense against the Mole Rats, so that isn't typical to what we had been doing. Still curious about it.

::Shrugs:: thought the D I used on NBSK would work on NMR just the same on Woodys

Tactics are probably your biggest problem. I don't know you guys personally, so I might be wrong, but when you get dominated week in and out, it's probably tactics.

The thing is, our tactics have not changed drastically, and we have been competitive in USA Pro in the past (9-7 the 2 seasons we actually set them). I can understand being 0-5 with our schedule. However, I cannot understand 40+ point losses every week.

Well... I'd seriously look for a DC and OC if I were you.

Easier said than done. Typically those willing to work are incompetent, and those who are competent already have jobs and have no reason to leave them.

GLB has reverse computer assistance- the worse your team does, the more it decides to kick you in the nuts. Imagine if in Mario Kart, being in 1st place gave you a red shell for every item, and being in last place got you bananas every time. It's absurd to lose this badly when actually gameplanning and having at worst semi-decent builds. Even the Lions do better than this in the NFL.

Are you doing it all yourself right now? If you are, ask if anyone of your agents or anyone else you trust is willing to try and learn, and teach them what you know. You don't have to go out and get a mercenary coordinator, and with you guys sitting at 0-5, I'd just relax and take this as an opportunity to relax, have fun, try some stuff out, and learn. I went through this when Ketchikan went 6-10 in the season of the slam. I drove myself crazy trying to figure out why I couldn't stop the run, trying any godawful scheme I could think of and it never worked, and it got to the point where I resigned at the end of the season (my wife was having a baby too, which is really why I quit, but I'm telling a story here) where it just wasn't fun. I came back recharged later, and things were much better. So yeah, I'd second Luzod, get somebody from your team or something to help you out and maybe you'll be able to see the forest instead of having to deal with so many trees. Good luck man.

P.S. - The only L on our schedule has Columbus Woodys on it, so I think the pieces are there.

To the people saying tactics, I perhaps disagree. There is a certain talent level, where if you have it things become much easier, and if you don't they become much harder. If the woody's are below that talent level then the best tactics on earth won't get them into the playoffs.

I have not watched any tape on the woody's (nor do I intend to) but Tom, the only solution is for the rest of the season you do have is to mess with and try to fix your tactics to put yourself in as good of a situation as possible. If that doesn't work, it's major roster overhaul time in the off-season.

Or of course you can always gut?

Decisions decisions. I hope I was helpful Tom.
