looking for any and all advice/opinions!
want to build a killer DT!
figure it would be better to get the knowledge now so i can build in the right direction

I also have AE with the following bonuses
Break block chance +20%
Avoid fake chance +10%
Fake chance +13%

is there another bonus I should look for?

I am up for redoing the equipment

Appreciate it!

Move all eq to strength. And those bonuses suck. %'s are crap right now. Try for an SA.

It's silly that your strength and agility are lower than speed. GET THEM UP.

Also, pls explain what the Fake Chance AE is for.

Shed Blocks, Break thru are good AE, if you're a NT, then try to find D-Line general.

Only have that because the AEQ has break block chance

Superior Purple Cleats
+4 strength, Avoid fake chance +10%, Break block chance +10%

might be a dumb question, but thats why im here...
do the SA's increase when I upgrade the equipment?

also....what are you opinions on AEQ vs. regular equipment while using bonus tokens for temp boosts and SP?

I was specifically asking about the "Fake Chance", not "Avoid Fake Chance". as a DT/NT unless you're returning punts or otherwise playing a position that carries the ball, it's worthless.

As far as AE, yes, but only every other upgrade (i.e. at 16/32/48 token upgrades), so a +1 D Line General Piece will go to +2 when you get 16 tokens in it, +3 when you get 32, etc.

I've not had much luck with the +% AE, though others have had good things to say about them, though usually when they're able to stack them.

I like AEQ, but pretty much only for SAs, and only for positions that need SAs.

do you think DT's need SA's?

also, I am only in the DT spot, not NT

so far, this is what im thinkin of aiming towards with my build...first number is what its at without eq, second is what I plan to cap it at or aim for

Strength 61 (67) +6
Agility 52 (67) +15
Vision 32 (49) +17
Stamina 40 (49) +9
Speed 65 (67) +2

I am also leaning towards selling AEQ and just using the 70 bonus tokens on temp boosts
then buying all regular equipment and putting it into Strength and Agility

your thoughts?

Pass Rushing DTs need 100+ Agility with a nice Shed Block/First Step and enough STR/SPD and Minor Atts (CONF, VIS, STAM) to be effective.

^^^ agree

Eq for a DT is best spent in agility or agility and strength. If you want Stamina at 49, spend the SP to get it there.

Your biggest issue right now is the fact that str/agi was not pushed high to begin with. Now you're fighting an uphill battle. If you had taken agility to fourth cap straight away it would be well over 80 by now.

The first thing you need to do is get agility past the fourth cap then str to at least the third cap.

My advice is to get whatever is closest to 68 between strength, speed, and agility, over that cap asap - looks like speed. Then get the next, then the last. Then take both strength and agility to the 74 cap. All 3 are worth getting that high imo and you'll make the most efficient use of your bonuses by finishing whatever caps are closest.

And get rid of the fake % piece. The other piece is fairly good. Don't use your bonus tokens on temp boosts. Find a good shed blocks, break block %, or something similar piece. Even a +3 agility piece without a bonus is better than nothing.

Usually agree with you darren, but speed isn't a major for DT. Gotta do str/agi first. Since he's a DT I like Agi first.

STR/AGI are the two biggest attribute factors in breaking blocks, right?
SPD is just how fast you get to the QB afterwards.

Okay, so my first priority is to get strength and agility to 73 or 77 then 3rd cap speed at 68 and aim to 1st cap stamina vision and confidence

Strength
61 (73/77)
Agility
53 (73/77)
Speed
65 (68)
Tackling
50
Stamina
40 (49)
Vision
32 (49)
Confidence:
32 (49)

What should I get the Shed Block SA too? 10?

also, is the First Step SA only available with AEQ?

That plan looks good.

FS is only available via AE, yes. And I really have no opinion on how high you take shed blocks. I would not bother going past 10.
