Washington Slashers (1-1) vs Washington Bullets (1-1)

While the Slashers came back on track against NAN, the Bullets showed good signs on D after beating San Francisco. So both squads are on a 1 win streak, but yours truly is still not convinced that the Slashers passing D is better right now than what it was against Spokane!

Question: Who gets this 2nd “Battle of Washington” game? I think the Bullets will have a good game from Jason Stanridge and they will win this one!

New Brunswick Scarlet Knights (2-0) vs San Francisco Demons (0-2)

While New Brunswick took care of their AAA2 rivals Naked last week, San Francisco showed nothing yet on offense that let me think they can beat a solid New Brunswick squad! NB by 2 TD!

Question: Will the true San Francisco offense show up? Nah, I don’t think so!

Richey Royals (0-2) vs New Jersey Blaze (2-0)

Indianapolis Gurupies (1-1) vs Naked Mole-Rats (0-2)

While the Gurupies lost a close one because of turnovers to a very solid CCCC squad, Naked couldn’t stop their old AAA2 rivals from New Brunswick, Naked will need a better performance to even thinking about winning that one! Gurupies take care of business IMO!

Question: Will the Gurupies come back from the disappointing loss last week? The Mole-Rats are the perfect team for them to get a boost of confidence back!

Detroit Demon Lions (0-1-1) vs Key West Corsairs (1-1)

DDL got a lesson in the 2nd half of their game vs the Blaze while Key West got their 1st USAPL win, beating a disappointing Colombus squad! This one is tough to predict but if Carson City nearly beat DDL, I think Key West will do the job!
Question: Can Key West stop ICE COLD!? Yes, they will and they will show why DDL is not a good USAPL team!

Columbus Woodys (0-2) vs ***Official*** Footballguys (1-1)

Colombus seems to continue to disappoint me, they were so good in AAA2, maybe they are not a true PRO squad yet! OFG played some excellent D to shut Alpine down last week and their HB duo can control the clock for a long time!

Question: How many points will Colombus score on the OFG D? I don’t think they will score a TD IMO

Northwest Arkansas Naturals (0-2) vs South Otto Porcelain Mice (1-1)

Northwest couldn’t muster enough offense to take care of the Slashers last week while South Otto had the easy Richey game in their schedule!

Question: Will the South Otto offense score a lot on NAN D? I think they will at least score 2 TD, they are my favorites, but barely (I wouldn’t be surprised to see NAN win this one)!

GOTW: Alpine Golfers (0-2) vs Chocolate City Cha Chings (2-0)

Alpine will need a better performance from their offense than what they did against OFG, they don’t want to be 0-3 to begin the season! CCCC has proven to be an elite team in USAPL, beating a very good Gurupies squad, and they want to continue that statement by beating Alpine!

Question: Can Alpine show some signs of life on offense? I do think so, but it wont mean a win though!

I must admit I was fully expecting a rough start this season (as I said in one of the pre-season threads, we will probably start 0-3, but don't count us out come playoff time). We have a very difficult opening stretch and I have been away the last 10 days with only 3 minutes online per day. I will be home from Saturday and will spend more time on GLB then, hopefully there is a chance we can turn it around.

I predict the East is loltastic.

NAN defense has been nasty thus far, giving up points due to stamina issues late or something
