Pass Rusher/interrupter but also a run stopper.

so we are talking like Olsen of the Evil Monkeys or something like that: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=32207 He surely isnt using wrap up.

I am personally trying to decide to let my tackling ride or if i need to invest any more SP.

I am guessing it is near 60....?

Any lower than 60, and I would use wrap up. If you want to use Power Tackle, I'd aim for 68 Tackling...but thats taking much needed SP away from Speed/Agility. So I'd go Normal Tackling and 60.

I second capped tackling in the 30s, I will be third capping it around level 42, 43. Switched him to power around level 38 when he had >62, still has a good amount of misses but usually he knocks the RB off balance enough that he's quickly brought down by somebody else, and he did generate some 7 fumbles last season.

For a DT it depends on how much he weighs. The more he weighs the less tackling he needs.

I would bet Merlin has more than 68 tackling...probably a lot more.

0 You want to be a good D.T. you don't have time to waste S.p's on something as worthless as tackling

+1

if you can disrupt the play and pancake 2 o-linemen, but miss the tackle, a LB is just going to make it less then a yard later

The ideal number for DE is between 50-60, for DT 70 (actually I want 80 for my NT)

I am pretty much completely serious. I don't want a guy who can tackle. I want a pass rusher. If you want a guy who can tackle then recruit one. It won't hurt my feelings none.

Yea I know you are UD after our discussions last night..But I wasn't COMPLETELY..I would at least prefer soft capped, as I told you .

A fast, agile DT who's a good pass rusher gains a lot if he can switch to power tackling. You don't really lose anything and you gain the ability to force fumbles. Since you already have the advantage of relatively high strength (compared to most HBs), there's not really any reason not to get relatively high tackling imo.
