Yup.

How many Copper teams get promoted to Silver? My understanding is that pretty much renewing your team for another season will get you in with the number of teams dropping out.

I worked with the owner when he DC'd a higher level team one of my players was on.
Seems to know his stuff, I wouldn't be surprised to see him in Gold in two seasons and kicking ass there.
