Most advice seems to be focused away from making a blocking FB with speed. The problem is that the speed RBs are just to fast. Obviously on teams with RBs that are power runners this isn't as much of an issue but it is on my team. Any advice here. I feel like I need to get my speed to the 70 cap and have a little equipment on it just to be effective.

I think that most advice givers all agree that speed to the 68 cap is the only way to go for any FB build. The only area of contention is how much EQ they use... I personally think that ~80 speed with EQ is fine, as long as you have 15 in the outside blocker VA. Some feel ~100 speed with EQ is the way to go, but I think we all agree 68 natural speed is a must.

And that, as much as you need 68, the sooner you start putting points in, the lower your ceiling as a player. The perfect, and I stress perfect, level 68ish fullback probably starts putting points into speed around level 55. Very few people would actually advise that, the going wisdom in my mind is that you start working speed around the early/mid 30s. If you work it too soon, you're better then, but worse long term.

Blocking FB's need Agility just as much as Speed, if not even more! IMHO. People put soooo much stress on Speed for FB's but that's wrong.
What's the most important block? .. the FIRST one!
Agility gets you to your max speed from a dead stop. I can't count the times I've seen a FB post: "Why is the HB always blowing right by me from the start? I have 95 Speed and I don't have a chance to lead block at all!"
I would aim for 80+ Agility and 80+ Speed.

I'm actually at that point now. I'm thinking of putting some of my equipment points into something other then speed. Currently I have 7 equipment points to use (just got some cash finally).

More Strength can't hurt... whats your base skills? make sure those are capped
