Hey guys, as the title says I haven't built a DT before and was just wondering if you kind people out there had any tips, hints or other pearls of wisdom that could be helpful to know when building a player completely from scratch. Thanks again.

Depends on the type you want to build. The traditional line clogging NT is a strength/agility build, while the pass rushing DT is a strength/speed/agility build. Both builds I think tend to start out the same with capping strength and agility at 60 ASAP. From there the NT will work more on strength to the high 80s and bring his speed up to the first cap, while the DT may end up with about even attributes for strength/speed/agility somewhere in the low 70s.

There are better minds here who can tell you how you should really approach building your player.

You want a heavy DT (preferably 325+ lbs) and you want high strength and agility on initial roll. Preferably strength+agility = 37.

Then it depends on what you are wanting to build. For at least the first 25 levels, every sp should be going into strength, agility, or tackling and you should always be working towards a cap.
