Slippery, I don't think 64 STR is enough to maximize Bruiser.

Overall, you are really wasting your SP. You need to decide which route you want to take with your back. To use Bruiser, you need to run at -50 I believe. This means that your player is just going to try and run over the opposition, thus making all the SP you put into Head Fake and Juke irrelevant. Thus the same for Slippery, you would have to run at the minimum of 50 making all the SP you put into Lower the Shoulder, Stiff Arm and Power Through useless.

that's what i thought, but for the past few seasons with this balanced build and running on bruiser, i have been absolutely trucking defenses and using elusive moves to break and additional ~4-7 tackles/game. it seams to be a great combination given my build; in those first 8 yards, ive been able to do a well thanks to bruiser and then with quick feet, i've been breaking ankles...all much to my surprise.

i agree that at the level im at, both for str and agi, it's not enough to maximize either va...i need to pick my route and put sp's and training into the appropriate place. i'm going to go with one, and run at either -50 ot +50, because having neither and running just at 0 wont be as effective, imo.

so your vote is for slippery? cool, i'll look into some more. thanks!

any other thoughts?

edit: 1 more thing i wanted to toss in...this is a season 1 player, so there wasn't much known about building haha...but i must say, for just kind or blindly going through it (and all of borts changes haha), bk has been very solid!

I would say slippery. By the way, those sa's will all still work on slippery...they're far from wasted. Add some more agility and slippery to get the most out of it

I would say slippery. And as whatje said ur powerback abilities will still work when u run on elusive. Ive heard that stiff arm really helps to breaks some of those tackles that u cant quite avoid using elusive moves.

yeah running style doesnt effect SAs...only vision checks... so you'l still pull it off if you could of in the first place.

Let me clarify, I am not saying that the SA's won't activate. You need to have correlation in your build between attributes, VA's and SA's.To have a great back, everything needs to work together. You want to pick what kind of back you want: Power, Elusive, or Scat. Next you have to build your attributes to that build, Strength and Carrying, Speed and Agility, Catching, etc. Now you have to pick the SA's that correlate with build choice you made, Tree's and AEQ. The final step is VA's. Pick out certain VA's that maximize your build. If you do all of this then you will have an excellent back, if not, you are put in the category of a balanced back...and a lot of people know that balanced means shit in GLB. To me, it makes no sense to build a balanced back with elusive SA's and power VA's or vice versa.

saying balanced backs suck isn't really true, though.

I don't disagree, the SA's are in contrast to the SP's here, need to decide on that balance, I'm just saying balanced backs don't suck, but it's wrong to think it's 50 50, you need to decide what is your strength and what is your compliment, you can't really be shizo about it, stregthen one and compliment it with the other.
