don't forget that blocking TE is super boring. absolutely mega boring. you may get some pancakes but thats all. so keep this in mind before you create one...maybe you would prefer to have some fun with your players

far from boring watching a dude completely bowl over poorly built defensive players. It's actually quite comical.

This ... if you build a good TE it will be just as valuable as a good blocking TE. It is almost impossible to make a balanced TE now, you can try, but be prepared to fail. A lot of teams are looking for good blocking TE's but can't find them because they are boring to buld, and people would rather spend 100 flex and build an OL, but like I said a good recieving TE is just as valuable as a good blocking TE.

But to answer your original question, my TE averages
56.7 yards a game (first 3 seasons kind of knock that down)
12.2 avg yard a catch

The OOP for an O-linemen makes a blocking TE > regular ole O-lineman.

Building a blocking TE well, you should always lead your team in pancakes (assuming everyone is of similar level).

This.

Also, if you evaluate the cost, you are indeed paying more initially. But if you make two players, one lineman and one TE, once retired after 10 seasons of boosting, the TE will only end up costing you a net of a few hundred FP more than the lineman.

I'm not sure how you did your mathh, but a TE cost 3100 flex points more than a OL after 10 seasons...

TE
200*3=600 flex per season for boosts
600*10= 6000 flex for boosts over 10 season
6000+200=6200 total flex, when starting flex is added in

OL
100*3= 300 flex per season for boosting
300*10= 3000 flex for boosting over 10 seasons
3000+100= 3100 total flex

6200-3100= 3100 flex points ... a little more than a couple hundred, so a TE costs about $25 more than a OL after 10 seasons

I think he's saying that you get %70 percent back when you retire the players meaning your cost for the OL is 930 flex and the the TE is 1860 flex gone, assuming you continue to play the game. Regardless it's still twice as much flex for the TE.
