I'm a bit perplexed by the teams that got into silver. I guess they just went to all teams that were still CPU owned. I figured the Silver tier (or tier 2) would be all playoff caliber teams but instead it just reads like a normal league with a 16-0 team all the way down to 1-15 teams with a typical balance in-between. I guess to go from Copper to Silver all you need to do is renew your membership.

Gold league looks intense. It was expected all the league winners would get in as that was kind of the easiest way to do it. I feel bad for a few teams in there that are going to get annihilated. I think the East looks more solid top to bottom but DoRD, HHM, and Coastal all in one conference (West) is just freakishly scary. At least DoRD will get a rematch against the team that ruined their perfect season.

However Short Bus, The Insane Asylum, Atlanta, South Park Hippies, Bengalfish, etc all together in the East just isn't right. Enjoy your game planning guys!

Back to the Tier 2 though. 8 leagues is way too many.. should be only 2 or 4 tops. But I guess Bort didn't want to cut any leagues so we still have 25 total.

Silver is a mess, there are shitty teams everywhere. Should have just been playoff teams, I agree. There are 5-6 League 5 teams that went from a higher level of competition to a lower level.

The point of the new system was to not make it so that pee wee was a full time job unless you wanted it to be. If you want to have to be fighting as hard as a you would in a regular league then you win a silver league and move up.

It is not going to be easy to win one of those, and that is the criteria for heading into the top league.

Obviously it'll take a season to kind of... work it's way out... I recognize and understand that completely. The silver leagues are just kind of a joke to be honest. Basically it's just everyone that renewed their team. There were tougher conferences last season then the average silver league. I was just hoping for a more competitive top to bottom Tier 2 leagues but instead what we're looking at is this:

Gold: Teams that won championships + handful of championship game losers. This includes league 24/25 that were a joke.

Silver: Anyone that renewed their team from Season 10 to 11.

Copper: All new Pee-wee owners.

Don't get me wrong, it may seem like I'm bitching a bit... I'm thankful this happened as I think it's a step in the right direction. I'm just disappointed it wasn't a bigger step. It's also a bit irritating that two teams from League #24 got in out of what... 3 teams they had there?

Yeah, I understand. I am not ruling out any of the teams in my new league until we start smashing their little heads in though. The idea will work in the long run, when all the new teams get handed out then they will go into the copper leagues and the new owners that want to win will move up into Silver next season, combined with the drop down of Gold teams that will want to have a winning season, next season is going to be an ugly fight down in the silver trenches.

Learn your league 5 history, ShortBus was a non-factor in seasons 7 and 8, Peru and Chicos were the cream of the crop.

So DB, is it just the 8 Silver League winners that move up? I thought the idea was that all the non-playoff Gold teams would be moved down, 16 in total, and the 16 Silver conference champs would move up?

Just the gold winners. It is a lovely idea to move the conference champs up, but I think the gold league should be made up of teams that have won gold.

Only one chance to make it there.

I'd like to see both move up as well.... that would wipe out all the non playoff teams (16) and keep things super competitive. The main issue with winners only was the distribution of 16-0 teams. Silver 1-3 has 0 undefeated teams, 4-7 all have 2 16-0 teams, and League 8 has 1. If we're doing a 1 up only thing the 16-0 teams should have all been split up (minus one unlucky league ).

Excuse me sir! I beg your pardon!!!! ....I am relatively new to peewee (and don't really associate much with HAS-BEEN'S!!!!)

I like the idea that winning your conference moves you up. Both copper and silver. If you want the cream to rise you have to move 16 down that did not produce.
