Future of the Pro World Tournament
The Pro World Tournament has enjoyed three very successful seasons and we (the tourney's organizers) are proud to have been able to provide a unique cross-regional format for the top teams in the game to take part in. With the expected formation of the World League for Season 11 and some upcoming real life time concerns for us, we've decided to suspend the PWT.
At this time, we are cautiously planning a return for the PWT in Season 12, but we think it's best that we step aside for now. After the World League has had a season to get established and the teams involved have a better feel for what they are facing by being a part of it, we'll have a better idea of what can be expected for an invite-only, best of the best tourney. If (when) we do return, expect another great tourney, possibly with a slightly tweaked format to fit the state of the game at that time.
We appreciate the kind words about the PWT that we have received and the support from team owners that said they would still participate in Season 11, even if they were called to the World League.
Thank you to the 113 Pro league teams that have taken part these past three seasons - their owners, GM's, and agents provided the fuel that fed the PWT.
Congrats again to Monmouth, Lincoln, Santiago, Honolulu, Cincinnati, Marblehead, Csonka, Sticks, and Orangeblood for earning trophies along the way.
Also, thanks to the many GLB-ers that took part in the PWT Bracket Challenge contests, the rest of the Rankings forum that helped with the team selection discussions, and Sandman for helping to secure the tourney's trophies.
It was all a blast to be a part of.

The PWT was a fun idea that got rolling back at the end of season 7. The idea got rolling in our Rankings committee (i believe it was Sik Wit It) and we just went off and running with it. At the time i had tons of time on my hands and tried to make the PWT something a little different than other tourneys. It was a ton of fun when i had the time and dedication to make it fun for all (bhall's recaps, Larry "f'n" Csonka, etc). Obviously that fluff was missing throughout the last 2 seasons and I apologize. Big props to turnit for keeping it all rolling high. Also props to Gmath and James for including funds to the winners and organizing the bracket challenge as well. Thanks to all those who partook in our tournament and wish you all luck in the future. Also thanks to Bort and DrkSandman for the recognition of what we have done.

To think all this started in the glb ranking committee forum. I really enjoyed being a part of this. I would like to thank every team that participated in it regardless of how well your team did. We couldn't of done this without the support from you guys. I also think this got the ball rolling for the world league. To my fellow organizers G, Bhall, and Turnit thank you for all the hard work and putting in the time to make this the best run tournament in glb.

I think we all knew that what we were planning back a few seasons ago was something that the GLB world was looking for. I still remember when my internet went out the night we were making the first brackets/pools and I was sitting there on my phone trying to get it done. I couldn't be any happier with the success that this tourney has had over the past 3 seasons. The first season, there were a handful of declines, but by season 2, it was almost none. In fact, we've had a lot of teams attempt to make their case for inclusion which just shows how much people liked this idea. The amount of time and effort that has gone into this has been especially burdened by turnit over the past two seasons and it would not have been nearly the success without him. It was a fun ride and maybe it will return. We really couldn't have done it without the support of the great GMs and owners of the top Pro teams. Good luck in the WPL.
