Get strength to 73 before anything else or just 68?

There's more than one way to slow build, especially a HB. If you look a few threads down the page, I'm sure you can find at least one.

You can get strength to 73 first. You can get it to 68 first. You can just take it to 48 and move to the next attribute, while re-visiting it with SP later.

There's more to a power back than strength.

You also need Carrying, Speed, Agility, Confidence, Stamina and Vision.

And then after all of that, you need some SAs.

I honestly don't even remember how I built my back.

The one thing you need to keep in mind is that most people giving build advice really don't know more than you do.

Sure, they'll point to their level 60 back in some AAA or lower league and stick out their chests, or point to their season five back that plays in a league full of season eight or nine players, and talk about how great they are, but that doesn't prove anything.

The key to being a good back is playing in a league that is somewhat comparable in level/quality as your team and run behind a good line.

I guess what I'm asking is, are the level gains worth it to take a single attribute to this high of a cap first? Since HB's have lower level gains in their major attributes.

Also, roughly how many levels does it take to get strength to 73 if you start at 18?

My lvl 13 powerback has 68str, and will be 70 after one more day of training and from my lvl gains. And I have 7 sp left over still to put in there. So you could get it to the 73 cap around lvl 14.

I think a "Powerback" would go straight to the 77 cap. 68 is more balanced IMO.

This. My level 14 back has 73 Strength, I think I'm gonna take it to 77 before I switch to carrying

With strength and carrying up to 77, how much speed and agility are you thinking about?
