I wasn't planning on doing another one of these, but the board here is in need of some actual game talk (vs. Rawr Rawr sucks talk....which he doesn't IMO)
1. ESL - Predicted (15-1)
So nice regular season guys. Fair scrimmage schedule, with a win against the fighting hornets...and some respectable losses to Bonn (who are studs) and Alpine, who are pretty decent. Only regular season loss was to Pa Dong this season...close wins to Duluth (?) and the Marauders.
ESL had a terrible playoffs last year...they were unprepared and paid the price. Is this season gonna be different...we'll see, but I'm giving them

2. PD Dragons - Predicted (14-2)
So the dragons have a monster defense. Will Borts attempt to nerf the RDE exploit hurt them...probably a little bit. From the sims I saw this morning...the exploit still appears to be there, just not as bad. William Davis was all over the Bugs board as the primary example of the exploit...so chances are, there will be alot of gameplanning to keep dude out of the backfield in the second season.
Bottom line - defense wins championships. They have a great defense. The line under the bottom line says that consistency wins them too..and the 42 point loss to the buddhist and the 35 point loss to bandar tells you that they can be had. Both of those teams aren't in their bracket....so that helps.

3. Marauders - Predicted (13-3)
Their win over Bandar gets them the nod here..but the loss to Winona wasn't good. Temp boost or not, The Marauders IMO are the best offensive team in Naga..they should have been able to pick up more then 30 points vs. a non-playoff team (yeah I know that the buddhist only scored 26..the Marauders have a better offense then the Buddhist IMO).
The question is when facing the Marauder - can you stop the offense? you know what is coming and can you stop it? Mack Slaughter on the screens, rashard jackson in the slot and breaking big catches on the TE long plays, the SG delay handoff. We all know what they do..and that's the sign of dominance..you know it's coming and they still own you.
I think that the Maruaders on paper are the team to beat, but I also question a team with such a limited offensive vocabulary. Their defense bowed in the middle of the season and I'm not convinced that if they end up in a situation where they need their D to carry the load..it can be carried.

4. Bandar - Predicted (13-3)
Ahh bandar, reigning champs. Another great season..only 3 losses. 2 of the teams they lost to this season (Buddhist, ESL) are the same 2 they lost to last year. This year they threw the Marauders in there as well.
Last season, they had a great bracket and never faced either of the teams they lost to. This season..their bracket has them facing both. Great team...good folks....won't do it this year, just don't see a repeat

5. Buddhist - Projected (12-4)
The buddhist prepare for their final season with the knowledge that BP and Jessica Biel are hooking up constantly and BP, is well, kinda tired of her TBH.
Then reality sets in as as the Buddhist watch the sun go down on their current incarnation..question is, can they do it? Yeah, they have the ability and gameplanning to win. They don't have alot of room for error though as they don't have some of the special X player weapons some of the top Naga carry.
The addition of Asheme as the DC has given them a shot...will they hit the target. Man, that shot is long. Everything has to fall into place..but stranger things have happened. If I was at the racetrack I may lay a few dollars on them tho.

6. Okinawa - Projected 10-6
Here's the deal with Okinawa....they can win Naga. If we ran the playoffs a hundred times..I think they would win three in a row at least once because they have a really thoughtful defense and some good VA applications going on.
Reality with this squad is...they don't have the offense to match. They will need their defense to score every playoff game in order to make a run...and not like 1 TD. Their defense will have to pull as many points as their offense in order to carry the Naga Crown.
Is it possible? yeah...could happen...will it? Don't hold your breathe. Shout out to my bud Satchmo, who I see is an honorary GM...respect bro. Okinawa...nice season.

Others - Dart Frogs and Mountainmen. Sorry guys, you don't stand a chance. We could run this playoff 1000 times and I don't think either of you guys could win 3 in a row. Props to the Dart frogs for a great 1st pro season. MM, you guys are the snake to our mongoose....I hope that season 8 AAA trophy is doing you all some good, cuz the Buddhist still remember you taking it from us.
