This is my first time in GLB, and I went with a SS. I didn't know about rolls, wasted some SPs on stupid things, trained a couple of times on stupid things, etc. You guys have helped me get back on course (I hope).

Here's where I am. I plan to boost each season.

My thought is to 3 cap speed asap, train intense agility/vision for a good while. I'm thinking about doing a series of normals on vision at some point to push to 28ish. My plan is 3 cap speed and put all SPs there until I hit 68, then 2 cap vision, then one cap agility and then 3 cap vision and 2 then 3 cap agility. Then turn to strength and tackling.

Do you guys think that works? I am mostly interested in a cover/balanced guy who has the potential to be a killer in his last 4 or so seasons. If you tell me to kill him and start over I won't puke. Thanks fellas!

For a new GLBer you seem to have learned well. Looks nice, and much much better than the failure everyones first player turns out to be

thats similar to how im building mine atm
but i went speed > agility > and now im working on vision [all to 3 cap, 68 natural]
then i would go with 50 tackle 60 strength 60 tackle and work on getting 50 jumping and work on catching while training stamina
just my opinion ofc. would have the best of both worlds with a coverage/hard hitter combo by the late 40's/early 50's. you could keep up with 110+ spd WR's, tackle YAC lovers, as well as have a chance of bringing down 100+ str power backs.
also most/if not all people agree to hold off on SA's until mid 40's to early 50's as well to focus on your base build
but yeah, good start

thanks. Right now I'm not sure what comes second for capping - agility or vision. A lot of people say it's agility, but vision is a major attribute so it seems like it's smarter to get all you can out of that up to level 22. Plus I would suppose that vision would mean that my guy would recognize things faster and get to where he needs to be quicker even if for a little while he might get juked. I dunno.

I have the same question. My SS has 3rd capped Speed and both Vision & Agility at 1st cap. I'm leaning toward a 2nd cap of Vision before Agility.

I would go Vision for the attribute bonus

Indeed. Agility is a minor and, despite what people here say, should be put off until you are near done with your majors. Sure it'll hurt your A-League career early, but does that matter? Eventually you'll end up with a much better build in AAA and Pro.
