that softcapping Strength before you do anything else on a QB build actually makes sense?

I've always been of the mind that, since there are no other useful training combos for Strength on a QB, that it's smart to soft cap it first, before the usual 800 throwing 700 vision 600 confidence routine.

With Ball Hawk pretty much everywhere now on CB's, you gotta put some mustard on the ball to get it in there before the DB reacts.

If you softcap Strength before doing anything else, by the time you actually start facing some of these BH-loaded CB's and FS's, it'll be a matter of half a dozen (or less) SP's to bring it to third cap.

No it does not. Important, yes but not first.

Not sure I would I would follow this but capping it second might be an option for your theory .
Train str/throw take throwing to 68. As soon as you start adding points to throwing to cap it switch to vis/con training while taking str to 60 then take vision to 68 and confidence to 60 .

Vision seemed to be most important especially if you using open man.

The only benefit for capping strength first is that strength doesn't train with anything really, but that still doesn't give you enough of a reason to cap first.

See, I'm not even advocating taking Str to 60 that early. Just softcap it while you can benefit from the training, then do your build as you normally would.

Str/Throw, Str to 48
Throw/Vis, Throw to 48
Vis/Con, Throw to 68, Vis to 48
Sta/Con, Vis to 68, Con to 48
Spd/Sta, Con to 68, Sta to 48
Spd/Agi forever and ever.

Nah, too weak, you need to triple cap Str as fast as possible
