He has 36 skill points and I was planning on making him a rare double threat QB by now taking speed and agility where they need to be to have him at 100 speed by level 56 w/o sacrificing throwing and vision, and being a true double threat.

He already has 2 pieces of Field General AEQ (with +3 thowing and +3 confidence) so the SAs wont need a huge sp investment. But I have been reading a lot about QBs for a while and am wondering, at this critical point where the build can still be formed to be a classic QB, whther it is worth the effort. I want him to be a passer who can pull the ball down and hurt the defense, not a runner for designed runs. Does the sim even do that and if not, what are the chances it does in 3-4 seasons?

Right now, the sim doesn't cater much to scramblers. I don't think it's on Borts list right now, from what I've read in the test blogs and such. But I suppose it can't hurt to develop him that way, but I wouldn't invest any SP in speed or agility for a while. For your SP I would cap strength and confidence, as those are essential, and start working to get tight spiral up to 6,8, or maybe even 10. But if you're really committed to getting speed that high, I suppose you should train it to 40 and start putting SP there. But if you want to be a good passer, you should have Vision close to or over 80 and throwing over 90.
Hope that helps.
