Cheers guys,

I have two safeties ready for a team run by a group of friends in the next season.

Both of them have their CE, none of them is slow-built in terms of not playing their 1st season, both of them are going to be cap-built.

I have made my decision about the amount of money I want to spend on this game and none of these safeties, or my other players, or my friends player will ever be boosted. All of those will struggle on regular teams, not casuals.

My question is - under the above mentioned conditions - how would you build those safeties, considering they are only likely to ever leave capped leagues in their last season or two.

What order of capping to which extent would you suggest? Which piece of AEQ would you look for? How would you split the equipment?

I follow all the basic rules about spending wisely on cap breaking points, having your attribute trained to 90+% at lower levels and suchlike.

The current builds are:

You definitely need vision up if they are to play safety. They look to much like CBs. Also, they need tackling higher. Basically, just round out the build if you aren't going to slow build.

Basically: you screwed yourself already!

You need speed, agility and vision up high. Normally, that's done within the first 3 seasons since you level fast and boost 9x for additional Skill Points.

If you don't want to boost, I'd still go for speed, agility and vision up high, but maybe like speed 1+2 cap (train intense agility+vision), 1 cap vision (keep training the same), 1 cap agility (change training to strength+tackling), go +1 speed, +1 agility till 3rd / 2nd cap. Then second cap vision.

Basically: put all SPs into the "big 3" and train everything else.

Now to your "problem":

Agility and vision are still so low, you get perfect training gains there... which leads to the question: bank up Skill Points or continue to raise speed?

Id go the normal route. spd/agi/vis. Then from there whatever you want.

This advice is pretty much the opposite of what you should do. Listen to the guys telling you to pump speed/agility/vision and train everything else.

Since you're a non-booster I wouldn't push past the second cap or you'll spend your entire career bumping two attributes. I tend to agree with Guru - your max level is going to be at a point where a balanced build might suit you best. Interesting how you buy CE for them and not boost though....

As a safety, if you don't push speed past the second cap it's hard not to be totally useless on a good team. I understand that he's going to have a smaller number of points to work with total, but the sacrifices should come in trainable areas like jumping, catching, stamina, confidence, and strength, not in the core safety attributes.

Spending your SP on only a couple attributes is a really efficient build strategy for a non-booster.

Exactly. Having 10 or 15 less in strength, tackling, jumping, catching and confidence won't hurt too much. But having 15 less in speed, agility and vision will make your guy suck.

Thats fucked up to say to an agent. He said no trolls or flames. You're the biggest troll in the game today. Look like one too prolly.

Don't listen him man. Work on your vision.
