I've read a lot of vets talking about how agility is so important and a very underrated attribute for the CBs taking their speed over the 90s. (Such as Longhorn saying something about agility needing to be almost even to speed. (Not an exact quote, of course.)) Anyway, would it not then also be good to get CD to a high level as well? Has anyone experimented with this? I see a lot about bringing SV up high, but nothing much past the first few levels for FS and CD.

I am split on this.

Bort has said that high agility WR's don't really need Quick Cut. Therefore, it gives reason to believe that high agility CB's don't really need Change Direction. The real question is how high does Bort consider high?

I feel that if I 68-cap agility early, it's going to be in the low-to-mid-70's by the time I reach a high league. With a few points in equipment, I can have an 80+ agility CB without a problem. For me, I'd consider that to be good enough most of the time. (I do know a few guys on here like to take agility up to 73 early.)

I did 68-cap agility on my WR and a few seasons later, raised Quick Cut from 3 to 7. I noticed a marked improvement in the cuts then. For a CB, I would watch the pbp of your CB and notice if he's keeping up with the receivers on their cuts. If not, you may want to invest in more agility...or strength.

CD still helps even with high agility, because it increases the angle at which the player can turn...agility doesn't do that...

My high speed/high agility CB has started moving in new ways since I upped his CD from 3 to 6...

For a super-high agility cb (90ish+), it isn't as important as once thought. If you don't have that much, it can help a lot, though. It just won't make up for the other benefits that agility gives.

What does that mean?

Also, here is my CB:

I'm going to 60 cap vision next, but am wondering when I should use some points on those SAs.

pbp = play by play....

I'd wait another 7 levels min...I've only spent 21 skill points on SAs for the CB of mine that I mentioned are from aEQ...his aEQ has contributed 30 skill points worth of SAs...I've also noticed a few plays in our last game in which he got the exact spot that he wanted a couple ticks before the pass arrive and just stood there and waited for it:

My CB is experimenting with a piece of CD AEQ this season, and it's not bad. He's got 96/77 spd/agi, and 11 in Change Direction. He's not having a lot of trouble staying with WR's on cuts. He's not impervious to being beat on a cut, but it seems to be working well enough. He's suffering in other areas, though.

Edit: I should also note that he looks a lot better with 11 in CD than he did with 6.

Super Vision, coupled with swat ball and a high jumping skill you will shut down most passing games if you arent a lead foot.

And you would know because so many of your cbs have 90+ agility and didn't do well without CD, but do much better with it?

Hold on. Regardless of if I have or not. You're saying you have, and have done research on it? You have come to the conclusion that C.D. isn't important anymore with 90 agility? I just want to make sure I am hearing this right.
