kanaan - needs to play better on a consistent basis

hey, don't understand the trash of "should've spent a season in AAA" for D.C, we went 7-9 in our first season against Pro teams from AA, which I believe was pretty damn good and almost upset Cajuns that year. This season the owner has been inactive recently, half of the team is inactive, and a little miscommunication is the reason for us faltering, not the lack of a season in AAA. Get your facts straight.

Inactive owner just further the argument that D.C. doesn't belong in the Pros. We are just poking fun anyways. If any teams skips AAA and go to the Pros and underperforms, you will hear it from everybody. That's all.

Sounds like DC is having the same problem Odesa Outlaws are having.. Ever since the Owner (Shakylootfan) got in an car accident like in May and being inactive(but signs on or someone is ?!), GM's not having access to funds, etc.. It's been a tough long Season 10 and with out the funds, and losing very hard to sign players... Oh, well can only do so much

Every promoted team is under scrutiny until they prove otherwise. From experience, Hellas was a late promotion from AAA and while we didn't skip AAA like DC .. we had a shit ton to prove. Going 7-9 just makes the bar that much higher for your 2nd season.

I feel that with the success that the Odesa had moving up the ranks (AA, AAA, Pro) and then with a sudden fall this needs to be posted..

From the team forum back on April 29th from Shakylootfan, owner of Odesa Outlaws:
I was in a car crash on friday night, I was hit by a drunk driver, from what the police have told me, in the driver's door, when he ran a red light. I sustained a broken left arm, 3 broken ribs, a badly bruised left hip and a rather bad concussion. They kept me in the hospital due to the consussion and fear of puncturing a lung. I was just released from the hospital today.

I know we all posted best wishes and I really hope he is doing ok !!! Sent many PM's asking / looking for a status but since the post above I haven't heard from him.

Unfortunately, he gave the GM's, some access (not EQ fund), many of the players left to either sign elsewhere or retired their players. Then with the losses, it became harder to sign players (can't promise EQ $$$) so that hurt us also.. Who knows what will become of Odesa .

That sucks ken. Sad to hear about Shaky - hope he will be alright.

Still remember the glory days of Odesa... it was an excellent team.
