Just thought it would be cool to see what everyones plans were for the holiday.

We were going to get up and get a great spot early for a local parade. Still have some youngens that really enjoy that stuff (so do I truth be told ). However wifey has seriously terrible allergies, we live in the worst place on the planet for allergies, I swear. So we're gonna head out soon and go watch Ice Age in 3D and go out for dinner afterwards.

Have a happy and safe holiday everyone!

Gonna find some British kid, dress him in a red coat, then punch him while singing the Star Spangled Banner. We'll make up tomorrow, become fast friends, and then go find a German kid to beat up.

I do it every July 4th/5th.

Same, being British means no celebrating of Independence Day.

Did the same. Toni Tone Tony and En Vogue. I was on stage with a camera on my shoulder.

Ok, so my 4th is ending soon. The real Conor had a good time, wifey actually had to work and will get home soon.

I'll say this...

What a farking surreal week. Multiple celebrity deaths added to monumental dotball happenings. I woke up today and no one else was up. I walked out to get the paper and just stood there in the street, the temperature was perfect, the birds were chirping, I could hear the trees and leaves swaying in the gentle breeze... etc. Seriously, I made sure to walk out this morning while the Santiago game was simming and just enjoy the scene.

Sorry if it seems like gloating, it's not my intention.

No gloating, the weather was amazingly good around the Wash DC area. Normally I can't stand to be outside on this day, but the temps stayed down and the weather stayed clear.

Had a great day with the kids and family plus a few fireworks.

Got back from Chicago on Sunday night. The wife and I brought our kids to our sister's for the weekend and we spent time enjoying a mini vacation. Spent Saturday on the Wrigley Field rooftops and socialized with some friends Friday-Sunday. It was a fun weekend........

If there are any service men/women that read this forum - THANK YOU FOR ALLOWING US TO ENJOY WHAT TRULY IS, INDEPENDENCE DAY!
