We created this draft as a fun alternative to the nightmare that is recruiting. This draft is based on the honor system, and entering this draft as a team or a player is a commitment to follow the rules and a promise to sign players, or sign with he team that drafts you. Agents who do not honor the draft and their commitment will be removed from this network and black listed from further drafts.
In a game where who you know becomes as important as what you know, this draft offers more then a few players and teams. It is a fantastic networking opportunity. When entered with the right attitude this is an opportunity to expand your circle of friends and knowledge. This is what has made this draft the best in GLB.

All players’ contracts must end on day 40 of the current season to be entered into the draft.
Day 32 - Teams & Player submissions are locked, draft order is created. Teams will be notified of the drafting schedule no later than day 33 to ensure they will be present.
Draft Day - Draft will take place during the 8 Playoff Days of each season, exact date to be announced by the stage reps.
Overview
With season 10, the Original Unofficial GLB Draft will begin to use an automated system as part of the drafting process. This system will allow users to control team/player submissions, create a draft priority list, search teams/players, view automated combine results, view the draft results live as picks and many more. This is the beginning of the integration of a web system to handle the data and process. Our end goal is something similar to Yahoo's Fantasy Football drafting application.
The Process
Anyone who would like to submit a team/player for the draft must first have an account. You will not need an account to just view the live draft results as picks are made.

Moderators for your stages will validate your account ownership, make sure you use your correct GLB Name and Profile Link. Once this validation is made, your account will be valid for all future drafts. eMail addresses are collected during sign up, these will only be used for draft announcements as needed.
After registration, users can submit teams and players for the draft. They also have the ability to remove them up until day 32 when team/player registration is closed/locked.

Notes on adding a team: All submissions for teams initially show as status "pending". A verification of GM/Ownership will be made via stage rep. After verification the team will be marked Approved by the stage rep and will be draft viable. There is a small Pimp your Team text box that allows team owners to advertise their team a bit.

All players contracts must end on day 40 of the current season to be entered into the draft! There is a small section where you can input a few core attributes for your player. These numbers are optional. They will be shown on the player pages and will be used for an automated combine script. There is also a small Pimp your Player text box that allows you to advertise your player a bit. Moderators will approve your player if it meets the criteria (day 40 contract, correct stage, etc) and if your GLB account has be verified.
With this new system teams drafting can Rank Players by priority. Ranking players by team will allow you to number all the players in the draft in order of draft preference, grouping by priority if needed. If you cannot be present at drafting time this order will be used by draft moderators to select your picks.
On Draft Day (~36) the draft will be similar to last seasons. Your Final draft pick must be submitted to a draft Rep for entry into the official results system. This may be done in the form of Chat, PM or Instant message. See your draft rep for the exact procedures for your stage. The draft rep will then enter your pick into the draft web system and a uniform live results page will be updated. This page will also be accompanied by a page that shows who's left to be drafted sortable by position.
Plans for Season 11 Draft
The initial usage of the web system was geared toward taking some of the headaches out of player/team registration, seeing who's been picked and who's still available for drafting. We have many things planned for the final version but we wanted to implement this in incremental steps so if there are problems we can easliy work around them.
