I want to call out the designers of this site on an underdog factor that has been an issue from the get go. Last season, many teams that were the underdog went on to win upsets that most should not have had a chance of winning. It was done by the computer making abnormal results of plays. I want to specifically point to the result of the Hounds. In the game today, the defense had more missed tackles than the previous 3 games combined. Fumbles were an issue for us in the past caused us to have to pass...not a problem since our passing and blocking is rated better than buffalo and thus quarterback will have time to get the ball downfield, etc. Yet the computer decided that today we sucked at passing. I feel that the only legitimate game played today was the canes vs kangaroos..they were close and it came down to field goals. But to have a computer simulate such anomalies is a bias and Buffalo has the win but the computer gave it to them by being their 12th man. Ditto for the Bats..yeah they had a chance of winning but a 14 point game with two closely matched opponents is upsetting. In the case of Buffalo, maybe since he bought his entire team, the designers guaranteed him a win. Congratulations Buffalo on buying a victory today...spend some more and maybe they will award you the championship at the beginning of next season.

While I do agree there has been a history of underdogs winning I also acknowledge that the Badasses looked better by player levels. I think the dissapointment is the abnormalities in the simming. Basically our team (Hounds) played different then they have all season long with basically the same settings on both sides of the ball. I tip my hat to Buffalo as they entire team is a level 15 and they definately had a great chance of winning the game...just not in the way they did.

Pretty sure it has a bigger impact in the playoffs.
But there is nothing in the sim to favor low seeds

I am in no way saying that the Hounds are the greatest team ever. In fact the Elves and Spartans are definitely better. As well as a number of teams that are ALMOST equal equal. I am simply point out a fact that the computer simulation conveniently amplified any mistakes by the hounds three fold. 9 missed tackles is ridiculous. since we had no more than 3 in other games. I will point out that fumbles hurt us and that could have made a 14 point turnaround. The one stat that should have brought us through was passing and blocking, yet the team that was bought by one person wins. I have been quiet while everyone touted their own players and my lineman kicked ass...I know you guys think I am whining about the loss, but I am simply pointing out the upsets that maybe should not have been. But if you guys want to just keep self promoting and thinking that you are in fact the answer to the football gods. Please by all means be the assholes you have shown to be by "being unbiased" every week when you talk about who is the best. Our team as a whole has been quiet because we are blue collar and just win, while all these posts on the BBB #13 forum are plugs showcasing how much of a genius you think you are. The only people I will give the right to brag outright is Silverymoon and Torrance. All the others, take note of what you need to win without the computers help.

I am honestly more upset about the Canes loss and Rivermen loss than our own...our RB Fenech has had a bad case of fumbilitis. We knew it would be a liability and hoped he would fix the situation before the playoffs. But to see two great teams go down like that sucks. I was looking for a good battle between Torrance and Canes to see who faced the Rivermen for the Eastern conference.

There is no bias.
Owners who buy their whole teams don't get a bonus.

If the team that was supposed to win the game won every single game they were supposed to then what the hell would be the point in playing this game.

I don't know how many different times in sports in playoffs a team just doesn't perform like they did all year and got booted quickly.

The mavs were supposed to go to the finals last year and got smacked around by Golden state in the first round.

This stuff happens and it just sounds like sour grapes.

I was slightly put off, I am NOT blaming it on the system however. I am really surprised that we didn't have a very close game. I also was SHOCKED that despite having our Offense running the ball 60% of the time that our first 6 plays went RUN PASS PASS RUN PASS PASS, despite having a 3.5 yard gain and a 6.5 yard gain on the first 2 rushes...to cause 2 three and outs...

Then it went RUN RUN PASS....And the first run didnt get ANYTHING....Why would the cpu run on 2nd down when the first down play didnt get jack?! I don't like how our game was called on Offense at all compared to our strategy....that set the tone for the rest of the game.
