1. ***OFG*** vs. 5. Washington Slashers
I think this game is going to be a lot closer than people think. The Slashers have played great dot-ball this season. They beat WSI, smashes the Golfers and Bullets, and hung around with the Gurupies before a bad 3rd quarter. ***O*** resume is pretty good on this young season also. They nipped a tough Roughneck team, destroyed a good OTR team and beat the new golden child New Jersey Blaze. In the end I think its Big Shirley that makes the difference, but wouldn't be surprised to see an upset here.
***O*** 31 Slashers 24
2. Cincinnati Shockers vs. 4. New Jersey Blaze
The Shocker's schedule has been as easy as it gets so far. The scores in the game they did play show me that they are still a top team in the east. Pretty impressive resume for the Blaze so far. Knocking off WSI, Golfers, and the Royals. They put up a good fight against *O* but ultimately came up short. Can Packert carry them to victory?
Shockers 34 Blaze 24
3. Indianapolis Gurupies vs. 10 Columbus Woodys
Gurupies look better than ever this year. Addittion on defunct fins players has really made the difference. Last week they picked apart a damn good NaN team 71-13. Woodys are looking to improve on a terrible season last year. They are off to a good start with a 3-1 record, but their strength of schedule worries me. Wins against NY-CA, Mice, Hammer is nothing to yell about. The game against the Hammer i believe was a glitched AI game anyway. Their only real challenge was against NaN and they got blown out.
Gurupies 44 Woodys 27
6. Northwest Arkansas Naturals vs. 7. Washington Bullets
NaN worries me a little bit. I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt Their 3 wins coming against the Hedgehogs, Woodys, and Hammer, but when they played a top team in the Gurupies they looked like they didn't have a shot. I think the game against the Bullets will help me rank them a little better. Bullets have had a tough schedule in the early going. They hung around with the Marauders, got smoked by the Slashers, won a close game against OTR, and smashed DDL.
NaN 52 Bullets 36
8. OTR vs. 11. Richey Royals
OTR has been hurt by chemistry a bit. Once they get it back up, I think they will be moving up in the ranks. 3 point loss to the Bullets really hurt them right now. Richey's 2 wins came against weak competition.
Cooter Splitter 36 Richey 19
9. Alpine Golfers vs. 13 Detroit Demon Lions
Who knows whats up with Alpine this year. Going into this season ya figured the were a top 25 team in GLB. Now they haven't even won a game in USA Pro. If they lose this game they are in big trouble.
Golfers 44 DDL 34
12 Carolina Hammer vs. 14 Porcelain Mice
Hammer 28 Mice 10
15 Cleveland Buckeyes vs. 16 Pittsburgh Steel
Buckeyes 255 Steel 0
