If you want a "elite" TE. Take Spd and Agi to 73 then catching to 68 Vis to 50.

Don't listen to these guys, go catching/vision first. Both of those are major attributes (speed/agility are minor attributes). The level up bonuses for catching/vision are 3x as much as the minor attributes. I would go to the softcap (48) at least for both catching and vision, and consider going to the 3:1 cap (61) for catching before moving on to speed and agility.

Just looked it up. He's right technically, but those attributes don't help you as much as speed and agility, so it's kinda foggy with a TE. You can have as much catching and vision as you want, but if you focus on those, you'll never get open without having high speed/agility.

What I'm currently doing is this:

Trained catching/vision until I could 1st cap both.

Then I trained speed/agility to 2nd cap speed and 1st cap agility

Then I'll probably go 3:1 on speed and 2:1 on agility and by then, catching and vision will almost be 2:1 with natural gains. He'll be about level 25. It's some kind of a possession receiver build which I think is better for a TE. Receiving TEs don't need sick speed like #1 WR. They mainly play short and middle passes.

Here's the build of the receiving TE I'm currently building (natural attributes), he's level 15:

Physical Attributes Football Skills

Strength:21 Blocking:19
Speed:48.38 Tackling:12.38
Agility:30.38 Throwing:9
Jumping:8 Catching:53
Stamina:17.38 Carrying:13.38
Vision:50 Kicking:8
Confidence:12.38 Punting:8

1's across the Receiving SA board.

I'm training Agility and looking to get Catching to the second cap as quick as possible.

Bullshit. Look at my TEs numbers from last season (lv 38 capped league) and tell me he isn't an elite TE. My natural speed and agility stats are not even at 73 now.

You start with those and then move on to speed/agility. TEs take a long time to build up to be effective, if you want short term success, you will probably turn to speed/agility, if you want long term success, catching/vision is the way to go.

MadMike is exactly right. Soft cap Catching and Vision First. I normally put all my equipment in speed.

I know he is, but I personally like having the high early cap bonus going more towards speed and agility since those make more of a performance difference than catching and vision. I'll concede that you're right (technically), but I still think that I personally would do it differently to get as fast and agile as possible as soon as possible, so that later on down the road with natural gains he'll be ridic. My current TE is only a lvl 38 on a run first/pass to the WR offense, but we'll see what happens in a few seasons and maybe I'll right something about it.

...but the whole point of softcapping atts early is to take advantage of the leveling bonus, which are almost non-existent for spd/agl, which is why you should cap the cat/vis early and come back to spd/agl later.
