So... I suppose this is an open question, relative to league, and a level 55-60ish. In a Pro, or AAA league, how much strength and tackling do you think a safety needs in order to "hit like a safety"?

My opinion is 60ish strength and tackling @ 55, but 65-70 strength and 65 tackling @ 60ish(pro). I'm curious to see what other people think, and how they're builds have turned out?

This goes question is posed understanding the given rules that you must have 85-90 speed and 80 agility with equipment at this level to even compete....

I'm also curious how people feel about the JackHammer veteran ability. How much respect should be paid to its ability to demoralize the ball carrier's ability during a sim?

I've been on the assumption that stats are greater then SA's. Are the Hard Hitter SA's etc worth dumping level's of skill points into or is it better to have say 80 strength?

Any thoughts or musing would be welcome, but I say leave the speed and agility out, as that rhetoric has been heard and discussed elsewhere..

I have the STR and TKL that you'd pose for players in a pro league, and I wouldn't feel comfortable at all trying to force fumbles at the USA AA level, let alone Pro. I tried it out last season, barely forced any fumbles and missed quite a few tackles. IMO, it seems as though Monster Hit is a big key to the puzzle in causing FFs.

I just got brought to school on this one a week ago, but I'd say you're overall pretty right, though (I know, I brought it up!) I think at the pro and aaa levels speed needs to be well into the 90s at least and not just 85-90. Overall like i said though, i think you have it right.

As for jackhammer, I haven't tried that one out yet despite everyone's advice because I'm working with zone specialist right now (I'm primarily a cover 2 SS). I do know that power tackler va helps a lot if you get it to like 10, but then again my level 48 is only playing aa right now, so i can't say for sure at these higher levels you're talking about.

Overall, I'd say stats are more important as you build, but once you're at a high level and everyone is ridiculus, I'd say va'a and sa's gain enormous importance (though sp's i think should still mostly be spent on attributes), especially since va's get better as you age (or at least that's what bort said a while ago). That's just my 2 cents.

Well My S.S. is in Africa AAA(don't know how much weight that holds) with 70 str and 49 tackling. he plays on power tackling every game. He averages 1 missed tackle per game, and this season he has only missed 1 through 3 games. I am thinking about adding more tackling, but still waiting to be fully convinced it would help.

You know you're hitting hard when you can visually see it in the sim. That's a hit

Holy shit, Underdog! WTF is you're strength/tackling/speed/agility/sa's/va's to get insane stats like that in 4 games? 30 sacks and 23 FF in 4 games?!?!?! Or have you been beating up on CPUs? Damn!

That's cool you have your opinions.

I bet the FF speciament you posted is actually trying for F.F's so he has like a bajillion monster hit and shit right?

Yeah well let me tell ya. My guy was build to be a hybrid. He has nothing that helps him force fumbles besides 70 str and power tackler. That's it. He only has 49 tackling. He really didn't even start forcing fumbles until the power tackler V.A. came out. you'd be surprised how much of a difference that makes.

I wanted him to be good in pass coverage as well as be a big hitter. So things like S.V. and change direction are high, rather than Monster hit and the likes.

The fact he forces fumbles is a plus and actually surprises me since all he relies on to force fumbles is 70 str and 15 power tackler v.a. He plays on power tackling every game. Or balanced if the game really counts.

I wish We didn't have to Play that CPU team in AAA it's annoying, they just sold the team at the beginning of the season,I would love to throw that out, but it is what it is.

That's it.
