I am building one and I don't know how.

I have catching up to 63 but what else is important? I had 6 drops this game. Everything else is pretty low. What else should I build?

Don't touch catching again. It is plenty for the rest of your career. Also, please post your build to see what you have done so far.

I was thinking more possession receiver so not concerned about going all that fast.

Regardless of how you want to create your WR, even good possession receivers need speed and agility to create SOME separation from defenders.

At this point, I would take both speed and agility up to 60 minimum, possibly 68. After that, focus on vision and jumping.

I believe that all receivers need to have speed and agility to 68. The difference of deep threat and possession comes from where you put your equipment and the SA's you choose. The overall attribute build should be the same though.

My possession receiver will have 90 speed and 80 agility by level 48.
And he'll still catch the ball 80% of the time.

I don't see why people imagine possession being slow.
If you look at the NFL, "possession" type receivers are still VERY fast.
I really could not imagine a person running say a 6 second 40, which is what yours would do right now (or slower) and still be able to do well in professional football. He'd have someone consistently in his face, and what's the appeal to throw to you at that point? QBs want to hit an open man.
Then say for some reason the QB does decide to throw to the guy who's heavily covered. What's the guarantee that since the CB is RIGHT THERE ON TOP OF YOU, probably even IN FRONT of you, that he doesn't grab it before you ever get a chance to, or swat it away?
And what if the throw isn't perfect? It's 5 yards to the right and it's a fast throw because the QB was under hurry pressure? You don't have the ability to adjust to the throw because you're slow and can't turn.

Agility is one of, if not the largest factor in being a possession receiver.

No, Being able to vary builds and have success is fun. Maybe WR just isn't my cup of tea.

There are plenty of ways to build a successful receiver. It is just that all of them require a good bit of speed. That's pretty much true of all positions except kickers and punters and a couple others.

If I were given your player right now, I'd keep pushing Catching to 68 while training Speed/Agility. I'd then bring Speed and Agility to 60. You then have a fantastic base to branch out from. You'll eventually want Speed at 68, but everything else is pretty open.

seriously you didnt believe that catching was the only thing needed for a receiver right? and outside of speed and agility and catching you still have strength carrying varying Sas and very different (since track star was nerfed) Vas to make a unique wide out. but look at it this way, qbs for example are never going to be successful with 100 throwing and no other stats. the amounts should vary from player to player but you need strength vision and confidence. then Sas and Vas. its just that every position has abput 2-3 major attributes. what kind of receiver did you want to build? possesion then get 60 strength and carrying 48 vision 68 agility and probably speed, pump yac attack etc and find AEQ for stiff arm/lower shoulder. i dont make power receivers but thats just one way to build a non-cookie cutter speed build. not perfect but unique. dont give up on him yet buddy.

Imagine a center with 15 strength.
That's your receiver.
