What's the prevailing wisdom on the best VA's at this point?

The attribute ones all seem fairly neutered compared to what they once were.

What do people like for blocking FBs, for running FBs, and for the balanced player?

Blocking: Outside Blocker, Attribute VAs (strength, agility, blocking, vision)
Offensive: Bruiser, Short yard Monster, Scatback

I use 15 Outside Blocker, 15 Downfield Blocker ... and the rest will probably got into Football Genius until I retire my very middling build.

That's an SA, but good try.

Medicore at best. Most teams don't keep the fullback in to pass block. And if they do, then blocking back only helps you pass a vision check. You're better off usually with Outside, Downfield, Great Blocker, Football Genius, or making your FB a hybrid.

for whatever reason, blocking back doesn't seem to work very well to me. Even when I had 5 or so in it, my FB would stand there and wait for somebody to get through the line, except on occasion he'd bust through the line and block the wrong guy. For this reason, I'm also skeptical of the spot blitz SA. I think you're better off with good attributes and good vision, and then VAs that improve situational blocking, rather than helping with vision checks. I just don't believe the vision checks for FBs really include everything they should.

I love blocking FBs on kickoff and punt returns. I prefer to roll with 2 on my roster at all times. So ST is needed to ensure both get max game XP. I mix it up pretty well so they get plays on offense as well.

Anyways, my point is that I am considering some special teamer VAs down the road after I finish maxing out outside blocker and downfield blocker.
