Does weight factor in to how well a HB adapts to his role?
My new lvl 1 HB was going to be an elisive back, but he's 6'0" and weighs 219 which imo is more like a power back or a combo back.

Yes, but not as much as building well.

I think it factors in marginally, but not really that much. I wouldn't change the whole build just because of the height or weight. Thats just me though.

i rolled my power back at 6' and 203lbs. hes only lvl 6 right now, but he rolled like a 18 or 19 str roll i believe with all 8's. thats why i kept him.

i kinda think this is plausible but i'm just not sure what the difference is. backs who weigh upwards of 205 and 210 seem to run just as well (although I haven't looked at power as much)

LTS & power thru both mention "strength and size", so we know size at least matters for those SAs, but we don't even know how much ... for elusives, who knows? tea baggins is an effective elusive who runs at 6'3", 201 lbs ... dooley is an effective elusive who runs at 6'1", 180 lbs

You don't want to have an elusive back who is above 215 lbs... trust NUGE... he has been around awhile. my elusive backs are 200 and 196... it affects speed and acceleration

I can see if affecting your acceleration, but as far as top speed goes I can't really see it having that much affect. I mean 80 speed is 80 speed within a given position. If the numerical values fluctuated based on height they wouldn't really mean too much, but that is just my opinion. I could very well be wrong.

Granted, I am pretty inexperienced at this game, and I don't know all the in's and out's, but from what I've gathered from most people, I think it weighs more on your ability to break tackles and power through them. Also, you ability to maintain balance after "first contacted" by a tackler.

My high level elusive is 216...and is completely awful, I rolled for weight/height on my new back named Darren Dooley

This better not be a big issue. The elusive back I just rolled is 218. Bort said it didn't play very big of a role at one point and changed it for factoring into broken tackles more at another. Haven't heard much about it besides that.

I found this a little while back.... bout a year ago
http://www.stuffbythane.com/glbfan/speed.cfm
But that doesn't mean that it is a factor in the sim... I have seen other forums that discuss it, I'll try to find the links
