Speed will fix lots of issues. My level 49 LOLB plays with 115+ speed. He had 17 TFL's and 4 INTS in AAA last season. Without 100+ speed, I don't think this can happen. If my vision is lower than others, my speed/agility make up for it.

From his last scrimmage
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=659644&pbp_id=457149

These are some rough number I'd shoot for.

OLB: 68 speed, 60 agility, 50 vision, 40 tackling, 35 strength, 30 jumping, 25 confidence

The key will be getting speed to the 68 natural cap before level 20 (this will allow you to fill out other attributes and be a solid player as well).

Spend 0 points in SA's, work on SPD, AGI and VIS to third cap.

Yes. My level 32 has 68 vision and he is a stud against the pass.

Not to hijack the thread, but why do you put strength on the ROLB and not the LOLB, I thought the ROLB mainly chases QBs and Speed backs along with a little coverage, rarely encountering O linemen. While the LOLB gets power backs coming at him along with blocking TE and RT, seems like he would need the strength, not the ROLB.

Can you explain? Just curious about the thought behind it.

Most teams put the LOLB on the TE, and sub in stronger LBs in short yardage.

Teams can rush anywhere now. ROLB is usually on the HB, or blitzing. Both of which you'll want strength for to prevent getting pancaked or missing tackles. More teams blitz the ROLB afaik more than the LOLB, so ROLB tend to encounter much more o-linemen. LOLB has to worry about shedding the TE on rushing plays, but that's about it, and most TEs are built as pass catchers in this game than blockers.

LOLB still needs >55 strength by level 50ish. That's enough to shed most TE blocks. The LOLB doesn't get blocked by the FB that much, who is usually much stronger than the TE. The ROLB does encounter linemen and fullbacks. If the LOLB gets powered through and misses a tackle, usually it's close to the LoS so somebody else is there quickly to clean up. If a ROLB misses you can have big gains.

Thanks guys, that clears it up. I've yet to get a linebacker into the higher levels where the offense is capable of doing things. In pee-wee it's all middle-middle-sweep with QB or Speed Back, and the ROLB just spends his time chasing the sweep.

you need some. I don't believe you need it capped. My LB just capped it, and had his worst game ever.
